Sūta said: The mountain Śveta is the homeland of the Daityas and Dānavas. The mountain Śṛṅgavān (Śṛṅgī) is the abode of Pitṛs. The Himavat is the abode of Yakṣas, goblins and lord Śiva. The lord is seen in all the mountains and forests. He is accompanied by Viṣṇu, Brahmā, Umā, Nandin and Gaṇas. In particular, lord Nīlalohita is seen on the mountains Nīla, Śveta, and Triśṛṅga[11] perpetually together with the Siddhas, Devas and Pitṛs.
