If one (belonging to Brahmana, Ksattriya, Vaisya or Sudra caste) carries the dead body out of covetous¬ ness, the Brahmana becomes pure within ten days and the king or Ksattriya within twelve days. The Vaisya becomes free with¬ in half a month and the Sudra within a month. Or all of them become pure in six days, or they shall be pure in three days.
