The Bhutddi {Tdmasic Ego) is enveloped by the principle called Mahat, which, in turn, is surrounded by the Unmanifest {Avyakta). These are the divisions of the universe. Noble-souled persons, all conversant with the Supreme Principle, inhabit them. They have their souls devoted (to the Lord) and are well established in him. Those Masters of Yoga are devoted to spiritual meditation, while others are the contempla- tors of Reality.
