।।2.53।।तदेव स्पष्टयति श्रुतिविप्रतिपन्नेति। पूर्वं श्रुतिभिर्वेदैर्विप्रतिपन्ना विरुद्धा सती यदा वेदार्थानुकूलेन तत्त्वनिश्चयेन विपरीतवाग्भिरपि निश्चला भवति ततश्च समाधावचला। ब्रह्मप्रत्यक्षदर्शनेन भेरीताडनादावपि परमानन्दमग्नत्वात्। तदा योगमवाप्स्यसि उपायसिद्धो भवसीत्यर्थः।
“That very thing the scriptures make clear to one who opposes them.” Earlier the scriptures were opposed by the Vedas, but when the opposers become steady in the meaning of the Vedas and in firm conviction, even contrary words do not move them; then they are established in samādhi. By direct vision of Brahman, even blows of a drum or the like do not disturb one who is absorbed in supreme bliss. Thus: having attained the means, you will attain yoga.
