नष्टे ऽनले ऽन्धभूते तु प्राज्ञायत न किञ्चन। पार्थिवास्त्वथ सामुद्रा आपो दैव्याश्च सर्वशः।।

Sūta said: When the world is covered by Ambhas (water), learned men say that it is Ekārṇava (a general inundation of the sea). When the fire is destroyed, when everything is blinded, nothing is observed clearly whether Earth (land) or water, Ether or wind. All the products of Earth and the waters of the ocean as well as Daivyas (those of celestial origin) become entirely immobilised. Without any movement they attain the state of a single unit and are designated as Salila (water). Then that Salila is remembered as one devoid of to and fro movement.
