Sūta Narrated: The Havis offerings of Bṛhaspati got mingled with those of Indra. He invoked Indra by means of the Daiva (divine) Mantra. It was then that Sūta was born. Thereby a default occurred there and therefore an expiation too in the holy rites (became due). For the Havis offering of the preceptor got mixed and therefore over-powered by the Havya of the disciple.
