Sūta said: The rain that falls over it has originated from snow-drops. Thereupon the wind named Vaha flows over the Himalaya, sprinkling the great mountain with water. It brings the mountain under its control by means of its own effort. After crossing the Himalayas it utilises the balance of rainwater for the development of the western region.
