Sūta said: Then for six months it continues to rain in order that all living beings may flourish. The thundering sound pertains to the wind and the lightning originates from fire. The Meghatva (the state of being a cloud) is indicated through the root ^Mih (to pour down), since the cloud showers (rain). The wise people know the cloud as Abhra because the waters do not fall down (na bhraṃśyanti).
