Sūta said:: Then the Parvans (important days in the transit of the moon such as first quarter, full moon, last quarter, New moon) as well as the Sandhis (junctions), of the Parvans are narrated. The great blessing of the two types of Pitṛs by means of Śrāddha; the Pitṛs who have gone to the heaven and those who have had a downfall. Their number and extent of Yugasas well as the Yuga called Kṛta are described.
