Shatanand explains - Adarata Vaditradisahitmityarthaha - one should immediately go and welcome the Acharya with the sound of musical instruments. This is in accordance with the teachings of Parashar. Also one should offer gifts to the Acharya on his arrival. Those that accord such a welcome receive the fruits of a pilgrimage. Those that go to bid him farewell are freed from sin.
