Yā te dhāmānyuśmasi gamadhyai yatra gāvo bhūuriśṛngā' ayāsaḥ. ātrāha tadurugāyasya viṣṇoḥ parama≈ padamava bhāri bhū u ri. Brahmavani tvā kṣatravani rāyaspoṣavani paryū u hāmi. Brahma dṛ ` mha kṣatra≈ dṛmhāyurdṛ
Wherever you dwell among our realms, where the cattle roam with many horns and effort, grant that supreme seat of Viṣṇu; I invoke you—oh Brahman speech, kṣatra speech, nourishment of kings—I beseech; grant the mighty kṣatra, grant life.

विष्णोः कर्माणि पश्यत यतो व्रतानि पस्पशे इन्द्रस्य युज्यः सखा।
Viṣṇoḥ karmāṇi paśyata yato vratāni paspaśe indrasya yujyaḥ sakhā.
See the deeds of Viṣṇu from which you observed his vows; Indra is a fitting friend to be yoked (in sacrifice).

तद्विष्णोः परमम पदं सदा पश्यन्ति सूउरयः। दिवीव चक्षुराततम।
Tadviṣṇoḥ paramam padaṃ sadā paśyanti sūurayaḥ. Divīva cakṣurātatam.
The brave ones always behold the supreme seat of that Viṣṇu. Their vision is like a heaven‑ward eye.

परिवीरसि परि त्वा दैवीर्विशो व्ययन्तां परीमं यजमानं रायो मनुष्याणाम। दिवः सूउनुरस्येष ते पृथिव्यांल्लोकऽ आरण्यस्ते पशुः।
Parivīrasi pari tvā daivīrviśo vyayantā≈ parīma≈ yajamānaṃ rāyo manuṣyāṇām. Divaḥ sūunurasyeṣa te pṛthivyā≈lloka' āraṇyaste paśuḥ.
Surrounding you, divine hosts spread forth, extending widely to protect the sacrificer, the wealth of men. From heaven and the sun to earth, realms, forests, and cattle are yours.

ऊपावीरस्युप देवान दैवीर्विशः प्रागुरुशिजो वह्नितमान। देव त्वष्टर्वसु रम हव्या ते स्वदन्ताम।
ūpāvīrasyupa devān daivīrviśaḥ prāguruśijo vahnitamān. Deva tvaṣṭarvasu rama havyā te svadantām.
For the valorous one come the gods, the divine hosts, the foremost seers, bearing the kindled fires. O Tvaṣṭṛ, bestower of riches, enjoy the oblation; may they partake.
Yajurveda 6.8 — Brihaspati Devata

रेवती रमध्वं बृहस्पते धारया वसूउनि। र्तस्य त्वा देवहविः पाशेन प्रति मुञ्चामि धर्षा मानुषः।
Revatī ramadhva≈ bṛhaspate dhārayā vasūuni. Rtasya tvā devahaviḥ pāśena prati mu¤cāmi dharṣā mānuṣaḥ.
Revatī, rejoice; O Bṛhaspati, uphold the treasures. I, the human, will free you, the godward oblation, from bonds by my daring.
Yajurveda 6.9 — Savita

देवस्य त्वा सवितुः प्रसवेऽश्विनोर्बाहुभ्यां पूउष्णो हस्ताभ्याम। आग्नीषोमाभ्यां जुष्टम नियुनज्मि। आद्भ्यस्त्वौषधीभ्योऽनु त्वा माता मन्यतामनु पितानु भ्राता सगर्भ्योऽनु सखा सयूउथ्यः। आग्नीषोमाभ्यां त्वा जुष्टं प्रोक्षामि।
Devasya tvā savituḥ prasave'śvinorbāhubhyā≈ pūuṣṇo hastābhyām. āgnīṣomābhyā≈ juṣṭam niyunajmi. ādbhyastvauṣadhībhyo'nu tvā mātā manyatāmanu pitānu bhrātā sagarbhyo'nu sakhā sayūuthyaḥ. āgnīṣomābhyā≈ tvā juṣṭa≈ prokṣāmi.
O god, for the birth of Savitṛ, by the Aśvins with arms, by Pūṣan with hands, by Agni and Soma I offer; considering you as mother from herbs, as father, as brother, as companion from womb‑mates. By Agni and Soma I proclaim you offered.
Yajurveda 6.10 — Apah Devata

आपाम पेरुरस्यापो देवीः स्वदन्तु स्वात्तम चित्सद्देवहविः। सं ते प्राणो वातेन गच्छतां समङ्गानि यजत्रैः सं यज्ञपतिराशिषा।
āpām perurasyāpo devīḥ svadantu svāttam citsaddevahaviḥ. Sa≈ te prāṇo vātena gacchatā≈ samaΔgāni yajatraiḥ sa≈ yaj¤apatirāśiṣā.
May the waters, goddesses, purify and taste the oblation with their own essence. May breath go with the wind and may united limbs of the sacrificer and the lord of sacrifice proceed with blessing.

घृतेनाक्तौ पशूउंन्स्त्रायेथां रेवति यजमाने प्रियम धाऽ आ विश। ऊरोरन्तरिक्षात सजूउर्देवेन वातेनास्य हविषस्त्मना यज समस्य तन्वा भव। वर्षो वर्षीयसी यज्ञे यज्ञपतिं धाः स्वाहा देवेभ्यो देवेभ्यः स्वाहा।
Ghṛtenāktau paśūuṃnstrāyethāṃ revati yajamāne priyam dhā' ā viśa. ūrorantarikṣāt sajūurdevena vātenāsya haviṣastmanā yaja samasya tanvā bhava. Varṣo varṣīyasī yaj¤e yaj¤apati≈ dhāḥ svāhā devebhyo devebhyaḥ svāhā.
From the ghee offered, may the cattle prosper; when the rite is performed, may it bring joy. From the mid‑air to the heavens with the god and wind, let the oblation be offered; may the yearly rains for the sacrifice grant to the lord—svāhā to the gods.
Yajurveda 6.12 — Vidvans Devata

माहिर्भूउर्मा पृदाकुर नमस्तऽ आतानानर्वा प्रेहि। घृतस्य कुल्याऽ उपऽ ऋतस्य पथ्याऽ अनु।
Māhirbhūurmā pṛdākur namasta' ātānānarvā prehi. Ghṛtasya kulyā' upa' ṛtasya pathyā' anu.
Do not injure, do not deceive; salutations—give those present to the fire. From the pot of ghee follow the ritual path.

देवीरपः शुद्धा वोड्ढ्वं सुपरिविष्टा देवेषु सुपरिविष्टा वयं परिवेष्टारो भूउयास्म।
Devīrapaḥ śuddhā voŒŒhvaṃ supariviṣṭā deveṣu supariviṣṭā vaya≈ pariveṣṭāro bhūuyāsma.
May the waters and the goddesses be pure; may we be well‑covered among the gods; may we be fit to be their attendants.

वाचं ते शुन्धामि प्राणं ते शुन्धामि चक्षुस्ते शुन्धामि श्रोत्रं ते शुन्धामि नाभिं ते शुन्धामि मेढ्रं ते शुन्धामि पायुं ते शुन्धामि चरित्राङ्स्ते शुन्धामि।
Vāca≈ te śundhāmi prāṇa≈ te śundhāmi cakṣuste śundhāmi śrotra≈ te śundhāmi nābhi≈ te śundhāmi meŒhra≈ te śundhāmi pāyu≈ te śundhāmi caritrāΔste śundhāmi.
I touch your speech, I touch your breath, I touch your eye, I touch your ear, I touch your navel, I touch your palate, I touch your excretions, I touch your genitalia—may I touch your frame.
Yajurveda 6.16 — Dyava prithivi Devate

रक्षसां भागोऽसि निरस्तं रक्षऽ इदमहं रक्षोऽभि तिष्ठामीदमहं रक्षोऽवबाधऽ इदमहं रक्षोऽधमं तमो नयामि। घृतेन द्यावापृथिवी प्रोर्णुवाथां वायो वे स्तोकानामग्निराज्यस्य वेतु स्वाहा स्वाहाकृतेऽ ऊउर्ध्वनभसं मारुतं गच्छतम।
Rakṣasā≈ bhāgo'si nirastaṃ rakṣa' idamahaṃ rakṣo'bhi tiṣṭhāmīdamaha≈ rakṣo'vabādha' idamahaṃ rakṣo'dhama≈ tamo nayāmi. Ghṛtena dyāvāpṛthivī prorṇuvāthā≈ vāyo ve stokānāmagnirājyasya vetu svāhā svāhākṛte' ūurdhvanabhasa≈ māruta≈ gacchatam.
You are portion of demons; be dispelled, protect; I stand against the protectors, I drive back the hostile, I lead away the inferior darkness. With ghee may heaven and earth be offered forth; O wind, remove the hindrances of fires' sovereignty—svāhā. Made into svāhā, ascend the Marut with the loud sound.
Yajurveda 6.17 — Apah Devata

ईदमापः प्रवहतावद्यं च मलं च यत। यच्चाभिदुद्रोहानृतं यच्च शेपेऽअभीरुणम। आपो मा तस्मादेनसः पवमानश्च मुञ्चतु।
īdamāpaḥ pravahatāvadya≈ ca mala≈ ca yat. Yaccābhidudrohānṛta≈ yacca śepe'abhīruṇam. Åpo mā tasmādenasaḥ pavamānaśca mu¤catu.
May these waters carry away the dirt and filth, whatever violence, falsehood, disease or fear there is. O waters, cleanse away that impurity and release the purifying ones.
Yajurveda 6.18 — Agni Devata

सं ते मनो मनसा सं प्राणः प्राणेन गच्छताम। रेडस्यग्निष्ट्वा स्रीणात्वापस्त्वा समरिणन्वातस्य त्वा ध्राज्यै पूउष्णो रंह्याऽ ऊउष्मणो व्यथिषत प्रयुतं द्वेषः।
Sa≈ te mano manasā sa≈ prāṇaḥ prāṇena gacchatām. ReŒasyagniṣṭvā srīṇātvāpastvā samariṇanvātasya tvā dhrājyai pūuṣṇo raṃhyā' ūuṣmaṇo vyathiṣat prayuta≈ dveṣaḥ.
May your mind go with mind, your breath with breath. Having kindled the fire of the red one, may the waters be pleasing; may Pūṣan and the warm sun soothe, and may hostile hatred be kept away.
Yajurveda 6.19 — Vishvedeva Devata
Shukla Yajurveda (Vajasaneyi Samhita) · Chapter Adhyaya 6 · Verse 6.19
घृतं घृतपावानः पिबत वसां वसापावानः पिबतान्तऋक्षस्य हविरसि स्वाहा। दिशः प्रदिशऽआदिशो विदिशऽ उद्दिशो दिग्भ्यः स्वाहा।
Ghṛta≈ ghṛtapāvānaḥ pibata vasā≈ vasāpāvānaḥ pibatāntaṛkṣasya havirasi svāhā. Diśaḥ pradiśa'ādiśo vidiśa' uddiśo digbhyaḥ svāhā.
May the clarified butter, purifier of butter, be drunk; may Vasā, purifier of Vasā, be drunk; may the oblation enter the atmosphere, svāhā. Directions, foremost and rear, north and south, east and west — to the quarters, svāhā.
Yajurveda 6.22 — Varuna Devata

मापो मौषधीर्हिं सीर्धाम्नो धाम्नो राजंस्ततो वरुण नो मुञ्च। यदाहुरघ्न्याऽइति वरुणेति शपामहे ततो वरुण नो मुञ्च। सुमित्रिया नऽआपऽओषधयः सन्तु दुर्मित्रियास्तस्मै सन्तु योऽस्मान द्वेष्टि यं च वयं द्विष्मः।
Māpo mauṣadhīrhiṃ sīrdhāmno dhāmno rāja≈stato varuṇa no mu¤ca. Yadāhuraghnyā'iti varuṇeti śapāmahe tato varuṇa no mu¤ca. Sumitriyā na'āpa'oṣadhayaḥ santu durmitriyāstasmai santu yo'smān dveṣṭi ya≈ ca vaya≈ dviṣmaḥ.
O Waters and medicinal herbs, do not be hostile; may you keep us, O Varuṇa, release us. If they called him 'impious' and swore to Varuṇa, then release us, O Varuṇa. Let friends and not enemies, waters and herbs be with him; let enemies be with him who hates us and whom we hate.
Yajurveda 6.24 — Apah Devata

आग्नेर्वोऽपन्नगृहस्य सदसि सादयामीन्द्रग्न्योर-भागधेयी स्थ मित्रावरुणयोर्भागधेयी स्थ विश्वेषां देवानां भागधेयी स्थ। आमूउर्याऽ उप सूउर्ये याभिर्वा सूउर्यः सह ता नो हिन्वन्त्वध्वरम।
āgnervo'pannagṛhasya sadasi sādayāmīndragnyor-bhāgadheyī stha mitrāvaruṇayorbhāgadheyī stha viśveṣā≈ devānā≈ bhāgadheyī stha. āmūuryā' upa sūurye yābhirvā sūuryaḥ saha tā no hinvantvadhvaram.
I seat Agni who has come to the house; seat Indra and Agni as sharers, and Mitra-Varuṇa as sharers, and all the gods as sharers. May the Suns with the rising Sun and the Sun together strike down our adversaries and overthrow the hostile ones.
Yajurveda 6.25 — Soma Devata

हृदे त्वा मनसे त्वा दिवे त्वा सूउर्यय त्वा। ङ उ र्ध्वमिममध्वरं दिवि देवेषु होत्रा यच्छ।
Hṛde tvā manase tvā dive tvā sūuryaya tvā. ª U rdhvamimamadhvara≈ divi deveṣu hotrā yaccha.
In your heart, in your mind, by day, O Sun; above, below, this offering in heaven among the gods — grant it, Hotṛs.
Yajurveda 6.26 — Soma Devata

सोम राजन विश्वास्त्वं प्रजाऽ उपावरोह विश्वास्त्वां प्रजाऽ उपावरोहन्तु। सृणोत्वग्निः समिधा हवं मे शृण्वन्त्वापो धिषणाश्च देवीः। श्रोता ग्रावाणो विदुषो न यज्ञम शृणोतु देवः सविता हवं मे स्वाहा।
Soma rājan viśvāstva≈ prajā' upāvaroha viśvāstvā≈ prajā' upāvarohantu. Sṛṇotvagniḥ samidhā hava≈ me śṛṇvantvāpo dhiṣaṇāśca devīḥ. ›rotā grāvāṇo viduṣo na yaj¤a`m śṛṇotu devaḥ savitā hava≈ me svāhā.
O Soma, king, you are trusted; descend upon the people; trusted be you, descend upon the people. Let Agni hear my hymn and the fuel of oblation; let the Waters and goddesses attentively hear. Hearers, mighty and wise, may not the God fail to hear the sacrifice — O Savitṛ, accept the oblation, svāhā.
Yajurveda 6.28 — Praja Devata

कार्षिरसि समुद्रस्य त्वा क्षित्याऽ उन्नयामि। समापोऽ अद्भिरग्मत समोष्धीभिरोषधीः।
Kārṣirasi samudrasya tvā kṣityā' unnayāmi. Samāpo' adbhiragmata samoṣdhībhiroṣadhīḥ.
I raise you like a beam of the ocean from the earth. Waters went together with marvels; herbs together with herbs.
Yajurveda 6.29 — Agni Devata

यमग्ने पृत्सु मर्त्यमवा वाजेषु यं जुनाः। स यन्ता शश्वतीरिषः स्वाहा।
Yamagne pṛtsu martyamavā vājeṣu ya≈ junāḥ. Sa yantā śaśvatīriṣaḥ svāhā.
O Yama and Agni, among courses and in prizes, which the sacrificial bands yoked — they go to that everlasting place, svāhā.
Yajurveda 6.31 — Praja

मनो मे तर्पयत वाचं मे तर्पयत प्राणं मे तर्पयत चक्षुर्मे तर्पयत श्रोत्रं मे तर्पयतात्मानं मे तर्पयत प्रजां मे तर्पयत पशुन्मे तर्पयत गणान्मे तर्पयत गणा मे मा वितृषन।
Mano me tarpayata vāca≈ me tarpayata prāṇa≈ me tarpayata cakṣurme tarpayata śrotra≈ me tarpayatātmāna≈ me tarpayata prajā≈ me tarpayata paśunme tarpayata gaṇānme tarpayata gaṇā me mā vitṛṣan.
Satisfy my mind, satisfy my speech, satisfy my breath, satisfy my sight, satisfy my hearing. Satisfy my self, satisfy my progeny, satisfy my cattle, satisfy my assemblies; O assemblies, do not be displeased with me.
Yajurveda 6.32 — President-Raja Devata

ईन्द्राय त्वा वसुमते रुद्रवतऽ इन्द्राय त्वादित्यवतऽ इन्द्राय त्वऽभिमतिघ्ने। श्येनाय त्वा सोमभृतेऽग्नये त्वा रायस्पोषदे।
īndrāya tvā vasumate rudravata' indrāya tvādityavata' indrāya tva'bhimatighne. ›yenāya tvā somabhṛte'gnaye tvā rāyaspoṣade.
To Indra you as Vasumat, like Rudra; to Indra you like the Sun; to Indra, O slayer of resolve. To the eagle you, to Soma's bearer, to Agni you, to Raśa-poshade.
Yajurveda 6.33 — Soma Devata

यत्ते सोम दिवि ज्योतिर्यत्पृथिव्यां यदुरावन्तरिक्षे। तेनास्मै यजमानायोरु राये कृध्यधि दात्रे वोचः।
Yatte soma divi jyotiryatpṛthivyā≈ yadurāvantarikṣe. Tenāsmai yajamānāyoru rāye kṛdhyadhi dātre vocaḥ.
What of Soma is in heaven as light, what on earth, what in the mid‑air — by that may the worshippers and the sacrificers be roused; the priest and the giver have spoken.
Yajurveda 6.34 — Yajna Devata

र्क न्सो श्वात्रा स्थ वृत्रतुरो राधोगूउर्त्ताऽ अमृतस्य पत्नीः। ता देवीर्देवत्रेमं यज्ञं नयतोपहूउताः सोमस्य पिबत।
rk nso ›vātrā stha vṛtraturo rādhogūurttā' amṛtasya patnīḥ. Tā devīrdevatrema≈ yaj¤a≈ nayatopahūutāḥ somasya pibata.
You who are swift, you stand against the slayer of Vṛtra, swift are the wives of immortality. Those goddesses and gods bring this sacrifice; offered toward Soma, they drink.
Yajurveda 6.35 — Dyava-prithivi Devate

ओह्म मा भेर्मा संविक्थाऽऊउर्जं धत्स्व धिषणे वीड्वी सती वीडयेथामूउर्जं दधाथाम। पाप्मा हतो न सोमः।
ohM Mā bhermā sa≈vikthā'ūurja≈ dhatsva dhiṣaṇe vīŒvī satī vīŒayethāmūurja≈ dadhāthām. Pāpmā hato na somaḥ.
Oṃ — do not let the roaring power fall; place vigor upon the priest, strengthen the strong; grant might and place strength. The slain sin does not become Soma.
Yajurveda 6.36 — Soma Devata

प्रागपागुदगधराक्सर्वतस्त्वा दिशऽ आधावन्तु। आम्ब निष्पर समरीर्विदाम।
Prāgapāgudagadharāksarvatastvā diśa' ādhāvantu. āmba niṣpara samarīrvidām.
From the fronts, from the sides, from all quarters may you hasten. Bring forth the cows free from blemish for the rite.
Yajurveda 6.37 — Indra Devata

त्वमङ्ग प्रशम्सिषो देवः शविष्ठ मर्त्यम।
TvamaΔga praśamsiṣo devaḥ śaviṣṭha martyam.
You, O limb, the praised god, best among mortals.
