युञ्जते मनऽउत युञ्जते धियो विप्रा विप्रस्य बृहतो विपश्चितः। वि होत्रा दधे वयुनाविदेकऽ इन्मही देवस्य सवितुः परिष्टुतिः।
Yu¤jate mana'uta yu¤jate dhiyo viprā viprasya bṛhato vipaścitaḥ. Vi hotrā dadhe vayunāvideka' inmahī devasya savituḥ pariṣṭutiḥ.
The mind is united, the intellect is united — O wise ones, the wise of great understanding. The priest kindles the sacrificial fire with the wind; this is the praise of the mighty God Savita on earth.

Devī dyāvāpṛthivī makhasya vāmadya śiro rādhyāsa≈ devayajane pṛthivyāḥ. Makhāya tvā makhasya tvā śīrṣṇe.
Goddess Heaven-and-Earth, foremost of the Makhas, to you today the head is offered in the worship of the earth. For the Makha, to you; for the Makha, to you, O summit.

Devyo vamryo bhūutasya prathamajā makhasya vo'dya śiro rādhyāsa≈ devayajane pṛthivyāḥ Makhāya tvā makhasya tvā śīrṣṇe.
Goddess, O Vamrya, first-born of the Makha, to you today the head is offered in the worship of the earth. For the Makha, to you; for the Makha, to you, O summit.

ईयत्यग्रऽआसीन्मखस्य तेऽद्य शिरो राध्यासं देवयजने पृथिव्याः। मखाय त्वा मखस्य त्वा शीर्ष्णे।
īyatyagra'āsīnmakhasya te'dya śiro rādhyāsa≈ devayajane pṛthivyāḥ. Makhāya tvā makhasya tvā śīrṣṇe.
He who sat at the foremost place of the Makha — to you today the head is offered in the worship of the earth. For the Makha, to you; for the Makha, to you, O summit.

īndrasyaujaḥ stha makhasya vo'dya śiro rādhyāsa≈ devayajane pṛthivyāḥ. Makhāya tvā makhasya tvā śīrṣṇe. Makhāya tvā makhasya tvā śīrṣṇe. Makhāya tvā makhasya tvā śīrṣṇe.
Indra’s offspring stands — to you today the head is offered in the worship of the earth. For the Makha, to you; for the Makha, to you; for the Makha, to you.

प्रैतु ब्रह्मणस्पतिः प्र देव्येतु सूउनृता। आच्छा वीरं नर्यं पङ्क्तिराधसं देवा यज्ञं नयन्तु नः। मखाय त्वा मखस्य त्वा शीर्ष्णे। मखाय त्वा मखस्य त्वा शीर्ष्णे। मखाय त्वा मखस्य त्वा शीर्ष्णे।
Praitu brahmaṇaspatiḥ pra devyetu sūunṛtā. ācchā vīra≈ narya≈ paΔktirādhasa≈ devā yaj¤a≈ nayantu naḥ. Makhāya tvā makhasya tvā śīrṣṇe. Makhāya tvā makhasya tvā śīrṣṇe. Makhāya tvā makhasya tvā śīrṣṇe.
May Brahmanaspati go forth; may the goddess proceed with truth. Grant the heroic man his place; gods, lead the unobstructed sacrifice for us. For the Makha, to you; for the Makha, to you; for the Makha, to you.

Rjave tvā sādhave tvā sukṣityai tvā. Makhāya tvnā makhasya tvā śīrṣṇe. Makhāya tvā makhasya tvā śīrṣṇe. Makhāya tvā makhasya tvā śīrṣṇe.
For the chariot-warrior, for the righteous one, for your protection. For the Makha, to you; for the Makha, to you; for the Makha, to you.

यमाय त्वा मखाय त्वा सूउर्यस्य त्वा तपसे। देवस्त्वा सविता मध्वानक्तु पृथिव्याः संम्स्पृशस्पाहि। आर्चिरसि शोचिरसि तपोऽसि।
Yamāya tvā makhāya tvā sūuryasya tvā tapase. Devastvā savitā madhvānaktu pṛthivyāḥ sa|mspṛśaspāhi. ārcirasi śocirasi tapo'si.
For Yama, for the Makha, for the Sun, for your penances. O gods, Savita protect the earth; touch and sustain. You are bright, you are effulgent — you are austerity.

आनाढृष्टा पुरस्तादग्नेराधिपत्यऽआयुर्मे दाः। पुत्रवती दक्षिणतऽइन्द्रस्याधिपत्ये प्रजां मे दाः। सुषदा पश्चाद्देवस्य सवितुराधिपत्ये चक्षुर्मे दाः। आश्रुतिरुत्तरतो धातुराधिपत्ये रायस्पोषं मे दाः। विधृतिरुपरिष्टद बृहस्पतेराधिपत्यऽओजो मे दाः। विश्वाभ्यो मा नाष्ट्राभ्यस्पाहि मनोरश्वासि।
ānāŒhṛṣṭā purastādagnerādhipatya'āyurme dāḥ. Putravatī dakṣiṇata'indrasyādhipatye prajā≈ me dāḥ. Suṣadā paścāddevasya saviturādhipatye cakṣurme dāḥ. Åśrutiruttarato dhāturādhipatye rāyaspoṣa≈ me dāḥ. Vidhṛtirupariṣṭad bṛhaspaterādhipatya'ojo me dāḥ. Viśvābhyo mā nāṣṭrābhyaspāhi manoraśvāsi.
May the ruler of the front, the lord of Agni, grant me lifespan. May he bestow offspring like sons under Indra’s lordship. May the god Savita, lord of the rear, grant me sight. May the northern lord of elements grant me nourishment. May Brahaspati, lord above and around, grant me vigor. Do not harm me, O all beings; spare my vital breath.

स्वाहा मरुद्भिः परि श्रीयस्व दिवः संम्स्पृसस्पाहि। मधु मधु मधु।
Svāhā marudbhiḥ pari śrīyasva divaḥ sa|mspṛsaspāhi. Madhu madhu madhu.
Svaha: with the Maruts around, may splendour of heaven touch and sustain. Sweet, sweet, sweet.
Yajurveda 37.14 — Ishvara Devata

गर्भो देवानाम पिता मतीनां पतिः प्रजानाम। सं देवो देवेन सवित्रा गत संम सूउर्येण रोचते।
Garbho devānām pitā matīnā≈ patiḥ prajānām. Sa≈ devo devena savitrā gata sa|m sūuryeṇa rocate.
The womb is father of the gods, the lord of counsels, ruler of beings. That god, moving with the god, Savitṛ, shines together with the Sun.
Yajurveda 37.15 — Agni Devata

समग्निरग्निना गत सं दैवेन सवित्रा संम सूउर्येणारोचिष्ट। स्वाहा सम्ग्निस्तपसा गत सं दैव्येन सवित्रा संम सूउर्येणारूउरुचत।
Samagniragninā gata sa≈ daivena savitrā sa|m sūuryeṇārociṣṭa. Svāhā samgnistapasā gata sa≈ daivyena savitrā sa|m sūuryeṇārūurucata.
The fire united with fire went; with the deity Savitṛ joined with the Sun it shone. Svaha: the fire united by penance went; with the deity Savitṛ joined with the Sun it became radiant.
Yajurveda 37.16 — Ishvara Devata

धर्ता दिवो वि भाति तपसस्पृथिव्यां धर्ता देवो देवानममर्त्यस्तपोजाः। वाचमस्मे नि यच्छ देवायुवम।
Dhartā divo vi bhāti tapasaspṛthivyā≈ dhartā devo devānamamartyastapojāḥ. Vācamasme ni yaccha devāyuvam.
Holder of heaven shines apart; holder (deity) upholds gods and immortals, children of penance. Bestow speech unto me for the gods and for life.
Yajurveda 37.17 — Ishvara Devata

आपश्यं गोपामनिपद्यमानमा च परा च पथिभिश्चरन्तम। स सध्रीचीः स विषू उ चीर्वसानऽआ वरीवर्ति भुवनेष्वन्तः।
āpaśya≈ gopāmanipadyamānamā ca parā ca pathibhiścarantam. Sa sadhrīcīḥ sa viṣū u cīrvasāna'ā varīvarti bhuvaneṣvantaḥ.
I saw the herdsman moving on the plain, he going the higher and the farther paths. He moves with noble chariots, with extended robes, traversing the realms.

हृदे त्वा मनसे त्वा दिवे त्वा सूउर्याय त्वा। ङुर्ध्वोऽअध्वरं दिवि देवेषु धेहि।
Hṛde tvā manase tvā dive tvā sūuryāya tvā. ªUrdhvo'adhvara≈ divi deveṣu dhehi.
In your heart, in your mind, in the day, to the Sun: upward and downward in the sky among the gods, grant (this).
Yajurveda 37.21 — Ishvara Devata

आहः केतुना जुषतांम सुज्योतिर्ज्योतिषा स्वाहा। रात्रिः केतुना जुषतांम सुज्योतिर्ज्योतिषा स्वाहा।
āhaḥ ketunā juṣatā|m sujyotirjyotiṣā svāhā. Rātriḥ ketunā juṣatā|m sujyotirjyotiṣā svāhā.
Let the dawn be delighted by the banner — radiant with brilliance, svaha. Let the night be delighted by the banner — radiant with brilliance, svaha.
