सविता ते शरीरेभ्यः पृथिव्यांल्लोकमिच्छतु। तस्मै युज्यन्तामुस्रियाः।
Savitā te śarīrebhyaḥ pṛthivyā≈llokamicchatu. Tasmai yujyantāmusriyāḥ.
May Savitṛ desire for you a world upon the earth for your bodies; may riches be joined to him.

आश्वत्थे वो निषदनं पर्णे वो वसतिष्कृता। गोभाज इत्किलासथ यत्सनवथ पूउरुषम।
āśvatthe vo niṣadana≈ parṇe vo vasatiṣkṛtā. Gobhāja itkilāsatha yatsanavatha pūuruṣam.
May you dwell in the āśvattha (sacred fig), in the seat and in the leaf; like the cows’ progeny, may what is strong become virile of manhood.

सविता ते शरीराणि मातुरुपस्थऽआ वपतु। तस्मै पृथिवि शम्भव।
Savitā te śarīrāṇi māturupastha'ā vapatu. Tasmai pṛthivi śambhava.
May Savitṛ protect your bodies, O mother’s children; to him, O Earth, be auspicious.

प्रजापतौ त्वा देवतायामुपोदके लोके नि दधाम्यसौ। आप नः शोशुचदघम।
Prajāpatau tvā devatāyāmupodake loke ni dadhāmyasau. āpa naḥ śośucadagham.
O Progenitors, I set you as deities in the wet world; may waters that purify us be given.

परं मृत्योऽअनु परेहि पन्थां यस्तेऽअन्यऽ इतरो देवयानात। चक्षुष्मते शृण्वते ते ब्रवीमि मा नः प्रजांम रीरिषो मोत वीरान।
Para≈ mṛtyo'anu parehi panthā≈ yaste'anya' itaro devayānāt. Cakṣuṣmate śṛṇvate te bravīmi mā naḥ prajā|m rīriṣo mota vīrān.
Beyond death is the path following the further world; others go another way from the divine road. To the seeing, to the hearing I speak: let not the people’s host distress us; strengthen the heroes.

शं वातः शंम हि ते घृणिः शं ते भवन्त्विष्टकाः। शं ते भवन्त्वग्नयः पार्थिवासो मा त्वऽभि शूउशुचन।
›a≈ vātaḥ śa|m hi te ghṛṇiḥ śa≈ te bhavantviṣṭakāḥ. ›a≈ te bhavantvagnayaḥ pārthivāso mā tva'bhi śūuśucan.
Peace be to the wind, peace indeed to your breath; may you be without hatred and be wished for. May you be the fires, earthly dwellers; do not be unclean toward us.

ओक्त्कु आश्मन्वती रीयते संम रभध्वमुत्तिष्ठत प्र तरता सखायः। आत्रा जहीमोऽशिवा येऽअसञ्छिवान्वयमुत्तरेमाभि वाजान।
oktku āśmanvatī rīyate sa|m rabhadhvamuttiṣṭhata pra taratā sakhāyaḥ. ātrā jahīmo'śivā ye'asa¤chivānvayamuttaremābhi vājān.
The stone-bearing one is carried; seize and rally, arise forward, companions. Here we drove away the inimical, we who are auspicious; those who attacked us, O Vāja, let us conquer them further with strength.

विके आपाघमप किल्बिषमप कृत्यामपो रपः। आपामारग त्वमस्मदप दुःष्वप्न्यंम सुव।
vike āpāghamapa kilbiṣamapa kṛtyāmapo rapaḥ. āpāmāraga tvamasmadapa duḥṣvapnya|m suva.
You remove impurity, sin, and guilt; O water-born, O healer, lead away from us the bad state.

सुमित्रिया नऽ आपऽ ओषधयः सन्तु दुर्मित्रियास्तस्मै सन्तु योऽस्मन्द्वेष्टि यं च वयं द्विष्मः।
Sumitriyā na' āpa' oṣadhayaḥ santu durmitriyāstasmai santu yo'smandveṣṭi ya≈ ca vaya≈ dviṣmaḥ.
Be allies, not foes; may medicinal plants be friends, not harmful. May those be thine who hate us and those whom we hate.
Yajurveda 35.13 — Krishivalah Devata

आनड्वाहमन्वारभामहे सौरभेयं म स्वस्तये। स नऽइन्द्रऽइव देवेभ्यो वह्निः सन्तारणो भव।
ānaŒvāhamanvārabhāmahe saurabheya| m svastaye. Sa na'indra'iva devebhyo vahniḥ santāraṇo bhava.
We began to bring fragrant offerings for welfare. May that fire be for us a deliverer among the gods like Indra.
Yajurveda 35.14 — Surya Devata

ऊद्वयं तमसस्परि स्वः पश्यन्तऽउत्तरम। देवं देवत्रा सूउर्यमगन्म ज्योतिरुत्तमम।
ūdvaya≈ tamasaspari svaḥ paśyanta'uttaram. Deva≈ devatrā sūuryamaganma jyotiruttamam.
May they who see the twin realms beyond darkness behold the supreme light — the God who is beyond gods, the Sun, the highest luminous one.
Yajurveda 35.15 — Ishvara Devata

ईमं जीवेभ्यः परिधिं दधामि मैषां नु गादपरोऽ अर्थमेतम। शतं जीवन्तु शरदः पुरूउचीरन्तर्मृत्युं दधतां पर्वतेन।
īma≈ jīvebhyaḥ paridhi≈ dadhāmi maiṣā≈ nu gādaparo' arthametam. ›ata≈ jīvantu śaradaḥ purūucīrantarmṛtyu≈ dadhatā≈ parvatena.
I place this boundary around the living; may these cows indeed be for another’s wealth. May a hundred autumns live, may men live and place death within the mountain.
Yajurveda 35.16 — Agni Devata

आग्नऽआयूउंम्षि पवसऽआ सुवोर्जमिषं च नः। आरे बाधस्व दुच्छुनाम।
āgna'āyūu|mṣi pavasa'ā suvorjamiṣa≈ ca naḥ. Åre bādhasva ducchunām.
O Agni, grant us long life; shower upon us bright vigor. Remove harm, O protector of the afflicted.
Yajurveda 35.17 — Agni Devata

आयुष्मानग्ने हविष वृधानो घृतप्रतीको घृतयोनिरेधि। घृतं पीत्वा मधु चारु गव्यं पितेव पुत्रमभि रक्षतादिमान्त्स्वाहा।
Åyuṣmānagne haviṣa vṛdhāno ghṛtapratīko ghṛtayoniredhi. Ghṛta≈ pītvā madhu cāru gavya≈ piteva putramabhi rakṣatādimāntsvāhā.
O Agni endowed with life, accept this abundant oblation of clarified butter and let the butter-mother stay. Having drunk the ghee and sweet honey, like a father protect the calf of the son, svāhā.
Yajurveda 35.18 — Indra Devata

परीमे गामनेषत पर्यग्निमहृषत। देवेष्वक्रत श्रवः कऽइमांनऽआ दधर्षति।
Parīme gāmaneṣata paryagnimahṛṣata. Deveṣvakrata śravaḥ ka'imā|n'ā dadharṣati.
They moved around the outskirts when going with the great fire. The gods’ deeds and fame — who would not have placed them here?
Yajurveda 35.19 — Agni Devata

क्रव्यादमग्निं प्र हिणोमि दूउरं यमराज्यं गच्छतु रिप्रवाहः। ईहैवायमितरो जातवेदा देवेभ्यो हव्यं वहतु प्रजानन।
Kravyādamagni≈ pra hiṇomi dūura≈ yamarājya≈ gacchatu ripravāhaḥ. īhaivāyamitaro jātavedā devebhyo havya≈ vahatu prajānan.
I invoke the Agni of Kravyāda; go far to Yama’s kingdom, O stream of foes. Here is another Jātavedas: let him carry the oblation to the gods for the people.
Yajurveda 35.20 — Jataveda Devata

ल उए वह वपां जातवेदः पितृभ्यो यत्रैनान वेत्थ निहितान पराके। मेदसः कुल्याऽउप तान्त्स्रवन्तु सत्याऽएषामाशिषः सं नमन्तांम स्वाहा।
la ue Vaha vapā≈ jātavedaḥ pitṛbhyo yatrainān vettha nihitān parāke. Medasaḥ kulyā'upa tāntsravantu satyā'eṣāmāśiṣaḥ sa≈ namantā|m svāhā.
May Vaha bring the oblation, Jātavedas, to the fathers where the placed ones lie afar. May the fats flow down the line, may truth and their blessings be poured forth; obeisance, svāhā.
Yajurveda 35.21 — Prithivi Devata

स्योना पृथिवि नो भवानृक्षरा निवेशनी। यच्छा नः शर्म सप्रथाः। आप नः शोशुचदघम।
Syonā pṛthivi no bhavānṛkṣarā niveśanī. Yacchā naḥ śarma saprathāḥ. āpa naḥ śośucadagham.
May the earth be to us a shelter, unshaken and settling; may that which is our glory be firmly established. May waters that purify us be given.
Yajurveda 35.22 — Agni Devata
Shukla Yajurveda (Vajasaneyi Samhita) · Chapter Adhyaya 35 · Verse 35.22
आस्मात्त्वमधि जातोऽसि त्वदयं जायतां पुनः। आसौ स्वर्गाय लोकाय स्वाहा।
āsmāttvamadhi jāto'si tvadaya≈ jāyatā≈ punaḥ. āsau svargāya lokāya svāhā.
From this you are born again; may this be born of you again. May it be for heaven, for the world — svāhā.
