तदेवाग्निस्तदादित्यस्तद्वायुस्तदूउ चन्द्रमाः। तदेव शुक्रं तद्ब्रह्म ताऽआपः स प्रजापतिः।
Tadevāgnistadādityastadvāyustadūu candramāḥ. Tadeva śukra≈ tadbrahma tā'āpaḥ sa prajāpatiḥ.
That is Agni, that is Aditya, that is Vāyu and the Moon. That is Śukra, that is Brahman, those are the waters; he is Prajāpati.

उसुए सर्वे निमेषा जज्ञिरे विद्युतः पुरुषादधि। नैनमूउर्ध्वं न तिर्यञ्चं न मध्ये परि जग्रभत।
uSue Sarve nimeṣā jaj¤ire vidyutaḥ puruṣādadhi. Nainamūurdhva≈ na tirya¤ca≈ na madhye pari jagrabhat.
All blinked like flashes above the Person. He was not upward, not sideways, not in the middle; he moved around.

न तस्य प्रतिमाऽअस्ति यस्य नाम महद्यशः। हिरण्यगर्भऽइत्येष मा मा हिं म सीदित्येषा यस्मान्न जातऽइत्येषः।
Na tasya pratimā'asti yasya nāma mahadyaśaḥ. Hiraṇyagarbha'ityeṣa mā mā hi| m sīdityeṣā yasmānna jāta'ityeṣaḥ.
He has no image whose name is of great fame. 'Hiraṇyagarbha' is this one; 'not born' is he—do not invoke me, cease—he from whom no birth is said.

एषो ह देवः प्रदिशोऽनु सर्वाः पूउर्वो ह जातः सऽ उ गर्भेऽ अन्तः। सऽएव जातः स जनिष्यमाणः प्रत्यङ जनास्तिष्ठति सर्वतोमुखः।
Eṣo ha devaḥ pradiśo'nu sarvāḥ pūurvo ha jātaḥ sa' u garbhe' antaḥ. Sa'eva jātaḥ sa janiṣyamāṇaḥ pratyaΔ janāstiṣṭhati sarvatomukhaḥ.
This god shines over the regions; he was first born; he is the inner one in the womb. He himself was born, he generating, standing before the people, facing all directions.

यस्माज्जातं न पुरा किं चनैव य आबभूउव भुवनानि विश्वा। प्रजापतिः प्रजया संम्रराणस्त्रीणि ज्योःंम्षि सचते स षोडशी।
Yasmājjāta≈ na purā ki≈ canaiva ya ābabhūuva bhuvanāni viśvā. Prajāpatiḥ prajayā sa|mrarāṇastrīṇi jyoḥ|mṣi sacate sa ṣoŒaśī.
From whom the worlds were not born long ago—those very worlds arose now. Prajāpati, by progeny, enlarged three-fold the luminous ones; he became the sixteenth.

येन द्यौरुग्रा पृथिवी च दृढा येन स्वः स्तभितं येन नाकः। योऽअन्तरिक्षे रजसो विमानः कस्मै देवाय हविषा विधेम।
Yena dyaurugrā pṛthivī ca dṛŒhā yena svaḥ stabhita≈ yena nākaḥ. Yo'antarikṣe rajaso vimānaḥ kasmai devāya haviṣā vidhema.
By whom the heavens, earth, and firmament were made steady, by whom the atmosphere was established—who, a realm of rajas in the mid-space—on which god shall we offer the oblation?

यं क्रन्दसीऽ अवसा तस्तभानेऽअभ्यैक्षेतां मनसा रेजमाने। यत्राधि सूउरऽ उदितो विभाति कस्मै देवाय हविष विधेम।
Ya≈ krandasī' avasā tastabhāne'abhyaikṣetā≈ manasā rejamāne. Yatrādhi sūura' udito vibhāti kasmai devāya haviṣa vidhema.
He who with a roar descended, who perceived the fall there when mind was cast away; where the rising Sun appears — to which god shall we offer oblation?

वेनस्तत्पश्यन्निहितं गुहा सद्यत्र विश्वं भवत्येकनीडम। तस्मिन्निदंम सं च वि चैति सर्वंम सऽओतः प्रोतश्च विभूउः प्रजासु।
Venastatpaśyannihita≈ guhā sadyatra viśva≈ bhavatyekanīŒam. Tasminnida|m sa≈ ca vi caiti sarva|m sa'otaḥ protaśca vibhūuḥ prajāsu.
Seeing there the hidden cave, suddenly all becomes a single nest. In that he and this—and all that—he sends forth and shines among creatures.

परीत्य भूउतानि परीत्य लोकान परीत्य सर्वाः प्रदिशो दिशश्च। ऊपस्थाय प्रथमजामृतस्यात्मनाऽत्मानमभि सं विवेश।
Parītya bhūutāni parītya lokān parītya sarvāḥ pradiśo diśaśca. ūpasthāya prathamajāmṛtasyātmanā'tmānamabhi sa≈ viveśa.
Having traversed beings, having traversed worlds, having traversed all regions and directions, he approached the first-born immortal with his self and entered.

ओर्ल्द, हविन्ग च्रोस्सेद थ्रोउघ दिरेच्तिओन्स अन्द सुब्दिरेच्तिओन्स अल्ल, अन्द रेअछिन्ग थे ओरिगिनल वोइचे ओ एतेर्नल त्रुथ इन थे वेद ब्य थे सोउल, थे मन ओ क्नोलेद्गे अन्द विसिओन अत्तैन्स तो थे सुप्रेमे सोउल ओ थे उनिवेर्से अन्द, ओने इथ इत इन उनिओन, अबिदेस।

सदसस्पतिमद्भुतं प्रियमिन्द्रस्य काम्यम। सनिं मेधामयासिषंम स्वाहा।
Sadasaspatimadbhuta≈ priyamindrasya kāmyam. Sani≈ medhāmayāsiṣa|m svāhā.
Wonderful Sadasaspati, beloved desired of Indra. I invoke the intellect-bestowing prayer; svāhā.

यां मेधां देवगणाः पितरश्चोपासते। तया मामद्य मेधयाऽग्ने मेधाविनं कुरु स्वाहा।
Yā≈ medhā≈ devagaṇāḥ pitaraścopāsate. Tayā māmadya medhayā'gne medhāvina≈ kuru svāhā.
Which intellect the gods and ancestors worship—by that, O Agni, grant me intelligence today, bestower of sacrifice; svāhā.

मेधां मे वरुणो ददातु मेधामग्निः प्रजापतिः। मेधामिन्द्रश्च वायुश्च मेधां धाता ददातु मे स्वाहा।
Medhā≈ me varuṇo dadātu medhāmagniḥ prajāpatiḥ. Medhāmindraśca vāyuśca medhā≈ dhātā dadātu me svāhā.
May Varuṇa grant me intelligence, may Agni grant me intelligence, may Prajāpati grant me intelligence. May Indra and Vāyu be givers of intelligence; Dhāta give me intelligence—svāhā.

ईदं मे ब्रह्म च क्षत्रं चोभे श्रियमश्नुताम। मयि देवा दधतु श्रियमुत्तमां तस्यै ते स्वहा।
īda≈ me brahma ca kṣatra≈ cobhe śriyamaśnutām. Mayi devā dadhatu śriyamuttamā≈ tasyai te svahā.
May this be my Brahman and Kṣatra; may it bestow prosperity. May the gods grant to me the highest prosperity; to her (the offering) svāhā.
