इत्थं स्तुतस तदा तेन मुचुकुन्देन धीमता प्राहेशः सर्वभूतानाम अनादिर भगवान हरिः ।।
itthaṃ stutas tadā tena mucukundena dhīmatā prāheśaḥ sarvabhūtānām anādir bhagavān hariḥ ||
Thus praised, then by the wise Mukukunda, the Lord Hari, the beginningless, spoke to all beings.

यथाभिवाञ्छितान दिव्यान लोकान गच्छ नरेश्वर अव्याहतपरैश्वर्यो मत्प्रसादोपबृंहितः ।।
yathābhivāñchitān divyān lokān gaccha nareśvara avyāhataparaiśvaryo matprasādopabṛṃhitaḥ ||
O king, go to the divine worlds as desired, endowed with unimpeded divine power, blessed by My grace.

भुक्त्वा दिव्यान महाभोगान भविष्यसि महाकुले जातिस्मरो मत्प्रसादात ततो मोक्षम अवाप्स्यसि ।।
bhuktvā divyān mahābhogān bhaviṣyasi mahākule jātismaro matprasādāt tato mokṣam avāpsyasi ||
Having enjoyed divine great pleasures, you will be born in a great lineage, and by My grace, you will attain liberation.

इत्य उक्तः प्रणिपत्येशं जगताम अच्युतं नृपः गुहामुखाद विनिष्क्रान्तः ददृशे सो ऽल्पकान नरान ।।
ity uktaḥ praṇipatyeśaṃ jagatām acyutaṃ nṛpaḥ guhāmukhād viniṣkrāntaḥ dadṛśe so 'lpakān narān ||
Thus addressed, the king, bowing to the imperishable Lord of the universe, Acyuta, emerged from the cave and saw a few men.

ततः कलियुगं ज्ञात्वा प्राप्तं तप्तुं नृपस तपः नरनारायणस्थानं प्रययौ गन्धमादनम ।।
tataḥ kaliyugaṃ jñātvā prāptaṃ taptuṃ nṛpas tapaḥ naranārāyaṇasthānaṃ prayayau gandhamādanam ||
Then, knowing that the Kali Yuga had arrived, the king went to perform penance at the place of Narayana, proceeding to Gandhamadana.

कृष्णो ऽपि घातयित्वारिम उपायेन हि तद्बलम जग्राह मथुराम एत्य हस्त्यश्वस्यन्दनोज्ज्वलम ।।
kṛṣṇo 'pi ghātayitvārim upāyena hi tadbalam jagrāha mathurām etya hastyaśvasyandanojjvalam ||
Even Krishna, having killed the enemy, seized the strength of Mathura, coming there with the brilliant elephant and horse.

आनीय चोग्रसेनाय द्वारवत्यां न्यवेदयत पराभिभवनिःशङ्कं बभूव च यदोः कुलम ।।
ānīya cograsenāya dvāravatyāṃ nyavedayat parābhibhavaniḥśaṅkaṃ babhūva ca yadoḥ kulam ||
He brought it to the great warrior, and in Dwaraka, he presented it, and the Yadu clan became anxious about the fear of defeat.

बलदेवो ऽपि मैत्रेय प्रशान्ताखिलविग्रहः ज्ञातिदर्शनसोत्कण्ठः प्रययौ नन्दगोकुलम ।।
baladevo 'pi maitreya praśāntākhilavigrahaḥ jñātidarśanasotkaṇṭhaḥ prayayau nandagokulam ||
Balarama, too, the peaceful embodiment of all forms, filled with eagerness to see his relatives, went to Nandagokula.

ततो गोपांश च गोपीश च यथापूर्वम अमित्रजित तथैवाभ्यवदत प्रेम्णा बहुमानपुरःसरम ।।
tato gopāṃś ca gopīś ca yathāpūrvam amitrajit tathaivābhyavadat premṇā bahumānapuraḥsaram ||
Then, the cowherds and the gopis, as before, spoke with great affection and respect.

कैश चापि संपरिष्वक्तः कांश्चिच च परिषस्वजे हास्यं चक्रे समं कैश्चिद गोपैर गोपीजनैस तथा ।।
kaiś cāpi saṃpariṣvaktaḥ kāṃścic ca pariṣasvaje hāsyaṃ cakre samaṃ kaiścid gopair gopījanais tathā ||
Some, embraced by others, laughed together with the cowherds and the gopis.

प्रियाण्य अनेकान्य अवदन गोपास तत्र हलायुधम गोप्यश च प्रेमकुपिताः प्रोचुः सेर्ष्यम अथापराः ।।
priyāṇy anekāny avadan gopās tatra halāyudham gopyaś ca premakupitāḥ procuḥ serṣyam athāparāḥ ||
The cowherds spoke many affectionate words there, and the gopis, angered by love, expressed their feelings.

गोप्यः पप्रच्छुर अपरा नागरीजनवल्लभः कच्चिद आस्ते सुखं कृष्णश चलत्प्रेमलवात्मकः ।।
gopyaḥ papracchur aparā nāgarījanavallabhaḥ kaccid āste sukhaṃ kṛṣṇaś calatpremalavātmakaḥ ||
The gopis asked the other townsfolk, 'Is Krishna, who embodies the essence of love, happy?'

अस्मच्चेष्टाम अपहसन न कच्चित पुरयोषिताम सौभाग्यमानम अधिकं करोति क्षणसौहृदः ।।
asmacceṣṭām apahasan na kaccit purayoṣitām saubhāgyamānam adhikaṃ karoti kṣaṇasauhṛdaḥ ||
Is it not true that our actions, when ridiculed, bring greater fortune to the city women?

कच्चित स्मरति नः कृष्णो गीतानुगमनं कलम अप्य असौ मातरं द्रष्टुं सकृद अप्य आगमिष्यति ।।
kaccit smarati naḥ kṛṣṇo gītānugamanaṃ kalam apy asau mātaraṃ draṣṭuṃ sakṛd apy āgamiṣyati ||
Does Krishna not remember us, even once, while following the song? Will he not come to see our mother?

अथ वा किं तदालापैर अपरा क्रियतां कथा यस्यास्माभिर विना तेन विनास्माकं भविष्यति ।।
atha vā kiṃ tadālāpair aparā kriyatāṃ kathā yasyāsmābhir vinā tena vināsmākaṃ bhaviṣyati ||
Or what, let another story be told, without which our future will be doomed.

पिता माता तथा भ्राता भर्ता बन्धुजनश च किम न त्यक्तस तत्कृते ऽस्माभिर अकृतज्ञध्वजो हि सः ।।
pitā mātā tathā bhrātā bhartā bandhujanaś ca kim na tyaktas tatkṛte 'smābhir akṛtajñadhvajo hi saḥ ||
What of father, mother, brother, husband, and relatives, if he is not forsaken by us, he is indeed ungrateful.

तथापि कच्चिद आलापम इहागमनसंश्रयम करोति कृष्णो वक्तव्यं भवता राम नानृतम ।।
tathāpi kaccid ālāpam ihāgamanasaṃśrayam karoti kṛṣṇo vaktavyaṃ bhavatā rāma nānṛtam ||
Yet, does Krishna perhaps speak here, Rama, that you should not speak falsely?

दामोदरः स गोविन्दः पुरस्त्रीसक्तमानसः अपेतप्रीतिर अस्मासु दुर्दर्शः प्रतिभाति नः ।।
dāmodaraḥ sa govindaḥ purastrīsaktamānasaḥ apetaprītir asmāsu durdarśaḥ pratibhāti naḥ ||
Damodara, he is Govinda, captivated by women, devoid of affection towards us, is hardly seen.

आमन्त्रितः स कृष्णेति पुनर दामोदरेति च रुरुदुः सस्वरं गोप्यो हरिणा हृतचेतसः ।।
āmantritaḥ sa kṛṣṇeti punar dāmodareti ca ruruduḥ sasvaraṃ gopyo hariṇā hṛtacetasaḥ ||
Invoked as Krishna, again as Damodara, the cowherd girls wept aloud, their hearts stolen by the deer.

संदेशैः साममधुरैः प्रेमगर्भैर अगर्वितैः रामेणाश्वासिता गोप्यः कृष्णस्यातिमनोहरैः ।।
saṃdeśaiḥ sāmamadhuraiḥ premagarbhair agarvitaiḥ rāmeṇāśvāsitā gopyaḥ kṛṣṇasyātimanoharaiḥ ||
The gopis, comforted by Rama, are filled with sweet messages of love, unassuming and enchanting like Krishna.

गोपैश च पूर्ववद रामः परिहासमनोरमाः कथाश चकार रेमे च सह तैर व्रजभूमिषु ।।
gopaiś ca pūrvavad rāmaḥ parihāsamanoramāḥ kathāś cakāra reme ca saha tair vrajabhūmiṣu ||
Rama, like before, playfully converses with the gopis and enjoys their company in the land of Vraja.
