The fire and the wind, O Maitreya, are enveloped by the sky; the sky itself is also surrounded by the great elements, and these seven are indeed the countless upper regions.

Thus, from the unmanifested, the great elements are born, and from them, the deities arise; from them, sons are born, and from their sons, other offspring.

Just as there is no depletion of a tree from the seed, similarly, there is no depletion in the creation of beings.

Just as the cause of a tree is derived from the presence of space and time, so too, the Supreme Lord Hari manifests through transformation in the universe.

Just as the root of rice seed does not decay, and the leaves and sprouts do not perish, so too, the stalk, flower, and milk are the same as the grains.

That is Brahman, that is the supreme abode, the highest state of existence, from which this entire world, both moving and non-moving, arises without distinction.

He is indeed the original nature, manifest as the universe; all beings dissolve into Him, and He remains there.

कर्ता क्रियाणां स च इज्यते क्रतुः स एव तत्कर्मफलं च तस्य यत स्रुगादि यत साधनम अप्य अशेषतो हरेर न किंचिद व्यतिरिक्तम अस्ति वै ।।
kartā kriyāṇāṃ sa ca ijyate kratuḥ sa eva tatkarmaphalaṃ ca tasya yat srugādi yat sādhanam apy aśeṣato harer na kiṃcid vyatiriktam asti vai ||
He is the doer of actions, worshipped as the sacrifice; he is the fruit of that action, and whatever means are used, nothing is separate from the Lord.
