One of the four principal Vaikhanasa texts attributed to sage Marichi. Contains the foundational philosophy of Vaikhanasa — Vishnu as the sole supreme reality, the role of the Vaikhanasa priest (Archakas), the daily worship procedures, and the theology of the Archa Murti (consecrated image as living deity).
