May the uttered hymn not fail, nor sons fall from the arms of the two; may no bond of sloth be over women, may no womb be barren.

You do not find the youthful friend Revanta; your divine steeds drink. When you perform rites on the river’s bank, you invoke the fatherlike assembly.

May a thousand and a hundred chariots, yoked, go to the golden prize. Brahmayujae steeds, O Indra, carry to the soma-drinking.

A thousand-fold stream, the bull of milking, milk yielded beloved for the god’s birth; by Ṛta the king born of Ṛta grows great as the god’s Ṛta expands.

The envoy, bathed in gold, the god among gods, mixed the offered juice; the son attains purity and goes round the sacred folds like a chariot, the priests tending the herd.

Beloved like the sea is cleansed, your glory, O inexhaustible, may the fame of the glorious decline for us. O you who, like bows of sound, pour forth—protect us always with auspiciousness.

They made fearsome ranks like a net and filled the worthy strong ones; the waters, quick to obey, like precious spoils, the great might of sacrifice runs to us with strength.

Those who, opening mouths, cleanse; ten sons of the wise with sturdy bows. Hari drove away the chargers, he pierced the sun’s quiver—none surpass the prize.

Together with mothers the sons not barren, the bulls place the ancient bow; the honored one who departs from the women goes with the streams and the pitchers of the dawn.

Also they eagerly drink, striking the breast, by the moon-bearing streams they shine with intellect; cattle honour the heads with milk and wealth, not scant in the offerings.

Drink, O son, the sap of the generous one like fish in water; may Indra and Gomata grant us breath. Inspire our minds with true wisdom, may they be strengthened.

Three cows and seven heifers milked for him in the high true heaven. Four other worlds he fixed and adorned, increasing them by his mighty deeds.

While partaking of ambrosia, both dawn and sky spoke poetically with brilliance. The mightiest waters and the powerful waves flowed around; by the divine fame they knew the deity’s radiance.

May banners, deathless ones, and strength be with him; both the bowing and the standing followed. Men and goddesses, purified, honored the primal king with their minds.

They hailed the wind, praised its swift course; Mitra and Varuṇa flowed round, filling. They praised man, the strong one in chariot, Indra the Lord, the bull-like Vṛṣṇa, the thunder-armed one.

May divine treasures, earthly riches, and all worldly things be poured upon us. By which we may enjoy wealth — O Jāmadagnī-born one, grant us that abundant food.

That sacrifice was born for you; that sun and the loud roar. You pervaded the universe with what was born and what breathes.

For you is the great cup like a fisher’s bowl; rivalry and pride are its foam. Your bulls, your steeds, Indra’s lines, a thousandfold rising.
