असृ॑ग्र॒मिन्द॑वः प॒था धर्म॑न्नृ॒तस्य॑ सु॒श्रियः॑ । वि॒दा॒ना अ॑स्य॒ योज॑नम्
asṛgramindavaḥ pathā dharmannṛtasya suśriyaḥ vidānā asya yojanam
Indra, conqueror of streams, a path-maker, is the upholder of right and the slayer of falsehood; the hymns are the joining of his might.

प्र धारा॒ मध्वो॑ अग्रि॒यो म॒हीर॒पो वि गा॑हते । ह॒विर्ह॒विष्षु॒ वन्द्यः॑
pra dhārā madhvo agriyo mahīrapo vi gāhate havirhaviṣṣu vandyaḥ
He pours forth sweet offerings; the foremost priest takes the place of the earth and accepts the oblation; the sacrificial gift is to be revered.

प्र यु॒जो वा॒चो अ॑ग्रि॒यो वृषाव॑ चक्रद॒द्वने॑ । सद्मा॒भि स॒त्यो अ॑ध्व॒रः
pra yujo vāco agriyo vṛṣāva cakradadvane sadmābhi satyo adhvaraḥ
He leads the vital speech and is foremost; he yoked the bulls and rolled them to the sanctuary; the path of truth is his road.

परि॒ यत्काव्या॑ क॒विर्नृ॒म्णा वसा॑नो॒ अर्ष॑ति । स्व॑र्वा॒जी सि॑षासति
pari yatkāvyā kavirnṛmṇā vasāno arṣati svarvājī siṣāsati
Around the poet the inspired song moves like a born-born charm; the singer commands the heaven-born plunder.

पव॑मानो अ॒भि स्पृधो॒ विशो॒ राजे॑व सीदति । यदी॑मृ॒ण्वन्ति॑ वे॒धसः॑
pavamāno abhi spṛdho viśo rājeva sīdati yadīmṛṇvanti vedhasaḥ
The purifier, striving, competes among the wide peoples and seats himself as king; the seers pierce him.

अव्यो॒ वारे॒ परि॑ प्रि॒यो हरि॒र्वने॑षु सीदति । रे॒भो व॑नुष्यते म॒ती
avyo vāre pari priyo harirvaneṣu sīdati rebho vanuṣyate matī
With these oaths the beloved dear sits around the woods; wisdom grows and is famed.

स वा॒युमिन्द्र॑म॒श्विना॑ सा॒कं मदे॑न गच्छति । रणा॒ यो अ॑स्य॒ धर्म॑भिः
sa vāyumindramaśvinā sākaṃ madena gacchati raṇā yo asya dharmabhiḥ
He goes with the airy Indra, the Ashvins together, with joyous drink; that is his warfare by rites.

आ मि॒त्रावरु॑णा॒ भगं॒ मध्वः॑ पवन्त ऊ॒र्मयः॑ । वि॒दा॒ना अ॑स्य॒ शक्म॑भिः
ā mitrāvaruṇā bhagaṃ madhvaḥ pavanta ūrmayaḥ vidānā asya śakmabhiḥ
Here Mitra and Varuna, with mighty sweetness, the winds and waves come; the hymns are the bonds of his acts.

अ॒स्मभ्यं॑ रोदसी र॒यिं मध्वो॒ वाज॑स्य सा॒तये॑ । श्रवो॒ वसू॑नि॒ सं जि॑तम्
asmabhyaṃ rodasī rayiṃ madhvo vājasya sātaye śravo vasūni saṃ jitam
For us flow the tearful riches, the sweet draughts of strength of Vaja; the treasures of hearing are victorious within.
