ā pavasva sahasriṇaṃ rayiṃ soma suvīryam asme śravāṃsi dhāraya
Bring, purifier, a thousandfold wealth, O Soma of valor; hold fast to our fame.

Pour the pressed juice and drink, Indra, who envies; when you have sharpened your might sit down.

Soma, born for Indra and Viṣṇu, filled the undying cup; may sweetness be for the winds.

These swift-breathing horses, like eager charioteers, ran forth; Soma held the course of ṛta.

indraṃ vardhanto apturaḥ kṛṇvanto viśvamāryam apaghnanto arāvṇaḥ
Winning Indra, the obtainers increased him, making the world noble; they struck down hostile foes.

Born from the same flood, the bison sprang from its foam; Indra and the heroes go to him.

By this purifying stream by which they revealed the sun: men strike the waters down.

Unjoined, the purifying one measured this mind’s limit; he moved through the mid-air.

And those ten bright suns, clothed in green, moved unjoined across the path; they spoke 'Indra-Indra'.

Around the winds the born hill exclaimed speechful praise for Indra’s envy; it sprinkled the abundant fountains in the days.

Purifier, knowing wealth, protect us; Soma, hard to approach, who dulls the malefactors.

Approach with a thousandfold wealth, O rich-voiced Ashvins; come granting vigor and fame by the prize of praise.

somo devo na sūryo'dribhiḥ pavate sutaḥ dadhānaḥ kalaśe rasam
Soma, god not like the sun among the mountains, the pressed juice set the nectar in the cup.

These arenas, auspicious with Shukra, sustain the law; they bestowed the invigorating, inexhaustible strength of the cows.

May Indra supply the bolt, may Soma bestow the head; the purifier, ever imperishable, accomplishes this.

May Soma, most sweet, flow to the realm, O seer, pure and holy; may the draught that makes gods mighty come.

They anoint the paths, the possessors of cattle, the brave in rivers—Indu for Indra, envious rivals they overcome.

Come, purifier, with golden-maned steeds and heroic vigour; bear the invigorating, cow-bestowing might.

Around the strength do not let strengthless forces pour into the enclosures; to Indra be the sweetest might.

By wise ones the sages fashion the poet; the seers perform rites—behold the bull that rends.

With thoughts the seers obtained the draught of Soma, the stream of immortal drink; the wise priests chanted together.

Purifiers, may divine life and Indra come to your mead; may the mighty wind move by right conduct.

Do not injure with your might; O puissant in rites and Soma, envy not—sing now of progeny.

The Purifiers, refreshed, became Somaya ones, shining, endowed with Indra’s vigor; they inspired all verses.

The Purifiers, the bright drinkers, advanced from the pastures; destroying all foes, they moved forward.

The Purifiers traversed the sky between the two realms; they spread over the earth above, moving onward.

Again the stream of Soma flowed, the gods supplied widely; strike down, O Sukrata, the foes and guard us.

Hold for us the divine, earthly treasures, O Soma; Indra, may you pour forth all oblations.
