प्र क॒विर्दे॒ववी॑त॒येऽव्यो॒ वारे॑भिरर्षति । सा॒ह्वान्विश्वा॑ अ॒भि स्पृधः॑
pra kavirdevavītaye'vyo vārebhirarṣati sāhvānviśvā abhi spṛdhaḥ
The poet first rushed for the godly banner with the swift cars; with him all the people strove together.

स हि ष्मा॑ जरि॒तृभ्य॒ आ वाजं॒ गोम॑न्त॒मिन्व॑ति । पव॑मानः सह॒स्रिण॑म्
sa hi ṣmā jaritṛbhya ā vājaṃ gomantaminvati pavamānaḥ sahasriṇam
He indeed, strong and youthful, drew forth the well-filled kine-bearing prize; the purifier has a thousandfold power.

परि॒ विश्वा॑नि॒ चेत॑सा मृ॒शसे॒ पव॑से म॒ती । स नः॑ सोम॒ श्रवो॑ विदः
pari viśvāni cetasā mṛśase pavase matī sa naḥ soma śravo vidaḥ
With your thought you encompassed all; you pressed and purified with mind. May that Soma become our hearing and knowledge.

अ॒भ्य॑र्ष बृ॒हद्यशो॑ म॒घव॑द्भ्यो ध्रु॒वं र॒यिम् । इषं॑ स्तो॒तृभ्य॒ आ भ॑र
abhyarṣa bṛhadyaśo maghavadbhyo dhruvaṃ rayim iṣaṃ stotṛbhya ā bhara
You bestowed great fame from the generous ones, establishing enduring wealth. Bear this desire to the praise‑givers.

त्वं राजे॑व सुव्र॒तो गिरः॑ सो॒मा वि॑वेशिथ । पु॒ना॒नो व॑ह्ने अद्भुत
tvaṃ rājeva suvrato giraḥ somā viveśitha punāno vahne adbhuta
O king of true vows, your voice entered like Soma. Wonderful are the renewed fires you kindled.

स वह्नि॑र॒प्सु दु॒ष्टरो॑ मृ॒ज्यमा॑नो॒ गभ॑स्त्योः । सोम॑श्च॒मूषु॑ सीदति
sa vahnirapsu duṣṭaro mṛjyamāno gabhastyoḥ somaścamūṣu sīdati
He, seeking fire, struck in the waters, smelting within the breast. Soma settles among the presses.

क्री॒ळुर्म॒खो न मं॑ह॒युः प॒वित्रं॑ सोम गच्छसि । दध॑त्स्तो॒त्रे सु॒वीर्य॑म्
krīḷurmakho na maṃhayuḥ pavitraṃ soma gacchasi dadhatstotre suvīryam
Playful mouths do not blaspheme; holy Soma, go forth. He places glorious strength in the hymn.
