इन्द्रा॑य॒ साम॑ गायत॒ विप्रा॑य बृह॒ते बृ॒हत् । ध॒र्म॒कृते॑ विप॒श्चिते॑ पन॒स्यवे॑
indrāya sāma gāyata viprāya bṛhate bṛhat dharmakṛte vipaścite panasyave
A hymn in the Sama for Indra, great among seers, great in greatness; maker of law and wise, protector of the pasture.

त्वमि॑न्द्राभि॒भूर॑सि॒ त्वं सूर्य॑मरोचयः । वि॒श्वक॑र्मा वि॒श्वदे॑वो म॒हाँ अ॑सि
tvamindrābhibhūrasi tvaṃ sūryamarocayaḥ viśvakarmā viśvadevo mahām̐ asi
You are famed among Indras; you make the sun shine; you are Vishvakarman, creator of the gods, great are you.

वि॒भ्राज॒ञ्ज्योति॑षा॒ स्व१॒॑रग॑च्छो रोच॒नं दि॒वः । दे॒वास्त॑ इन्द्र स॒ख्याय॑ येमिरे
vibhrājañjyotiṣā sva1ragaccho rocanaṃ divaḥ devāsta indra sakhyāya yemire
Shining with light, the radiant chariots of heaven come; the gods invoked Indra for companionship.

एन्द्र॑ नो गधि प्रि॒यः स॑त्रा॒जिदगो॑ह्यः । गि॒रिर्न वि॒श्वत॑स्पृ॒थुः पति॑र्दि॒वः
endra no gadhi priyaḥ satrājidagohyaḥ girirna viśvataspṛthuḥ patirdivaḥ
May he bring us dear spoils, the lord of the host and the cow-slayer; may the mountain not be spread through the worlds—lord of heaven.

अ॒भि हि स॑त्य सोमपा उ॒भे ब॒भूथ॒ रोद॑सी । इन्द्रासि॑ सुन्व॒तो वृ॒धः पति॑र्दि॒वः
abhi hi satya somapā ubhe babhūtha rodasī indrāsi sunvato vṛdhaḥ patirdivaḥ
Indeed both Soma and truth became strong and joyous; Indra, protector rich in song, lord of heaven, increase (our) prosperity.

त्वं हि शश्व॑तीना॒मिन्द्र॑ द॒र्ता पु॒रामसि॑ । ह॒न्ता दस्यो॒र्मनो॑र्वृ॒धः पति॑र्दि॒वः
tvaṃ hi śaśvatīnāmindra dartā purāmasi hantā dasyormanorvṛdhaḥ patirdivaḥ
You are the slayer of the eternal foes of men, the mighty destroyer of hostile minds; lord of heaven, grow forth in strength.

अधा॒ ही॑न्द्र गिर्वण॒ उप॑ त्वा॒ कामा॑न्म॒हः स॑सृ॒ज्महे॑ । उ॒देव॒ यन्त॑ उ॒दभिः॑
adhā hīndra girvaṇa upa tvā kāmānmahaḥ sasṛjmahe udeva yanta udabhiḥ
Now, Indra, we invoke you with loud voice, creating great desires; may you rise up and come forth with rivers of bounty.

वार्ण त्वा॑ य॒व्याभि॒र्वर्ध॑न्ति शूर॒ ब्रह्मा॑णि । वा॒वृ॒ध्वांसं॑ चिदद्रिवो दि॒वेदि॑वे
vārṇa tvā yavyābhirvardhanti śūra brahmāṇi vāvṛdhvāṃsaṃ cidadrivo divedive
Warriors along with you grow in might, Brahmanas in power; may your growth be renowned through the hosts day by day.

यु॒ञ्जन्ति॒ हरी॑ इषि॒रस्य॒ गाथ॑यो॒रौ रथ॑ उ॒रुयु॑गे । इ॒न्द्र॒वाहा॑ वचो॒युजा॑
yuñjanti harī iṣirasya gāthayorau ratha uruyuge indravāhā vacoyujā
They harness the two chariot-borne hymns of the virile steed in the mighty contest; Indra-bearers unite the words.

त्वं न॑ इ॒न्द्रा भ॑र॒ँ ओजो॑ नृ॒म्णं श॑तक्रतो विचर्षणे । आ वी॒रं पृ॑तना॒षह॑म्
tvaṃ na indrā bharam̐ ojo nṛmṇaṃ śatakrato vicarṣaṇe ā vīraṃ pṛtanāṣaham
You, O Indra, did not carry the vigor of men lightly but showered it a hundredfold by your deeds; we have seen brave heroes by your striving.

त्वं हि नः॑ पि॒ता व॑सो॒ त्वं मा॒ता श॑तक्रतो ब॒भूवि॑थ । अधा॑ ते सु॒म्नमी॑महे
tvaṃ hi naḥ pitā vaso tvaṃ mātā śatakrato babhūvitha adhā te sumnamīmahe
You indeed became our father in wealth, you our mother in bounty, O powerful one; beneath you we recall the joyous stream.

त्वां शु॑ष्मिन्पुरुहूत वाज॒यन्त॒मुप॑ ब्रुवे शतक्रतो । स नो॑ रास्व सु॒वीर्य॑म्
tvāṃ śuṣminpuruhūta vājayantamupa bruve śatakrato sa no rāsva suvīryam
I, the priest, uttered the prayer invoking you famed for hundredfold might; grant us heroic share and abundant strength.
