सुस॑मिद्धाय शो॒चिषे॑ घृ॒तं ती॒व्रं जु॑होतन । अ॒ग्नये॑ जा॒तवे॑दसे
susamiddhāya śociṣe ghṛtaṃ tīvraṃ juhotana agnaye jātavedase
Having anointed well, the sacrificer pours forth the intense clarified butter for the seer born of Agni (Jatavedas).

Men of praise sang this abundant sacrifice to the givers; for the poet is he who holds the honey‑hand.

He kindled Agni, who bears the bright and manifold god, beloved here; may joy come with his well‑fitted chariots for the steads.

With ruddy drops you pressed forth the first cows for the gods; be they our fair, bright keepers.

O goddess, grant shelter at the door, ye who set forth well—raise up the sacrifice and fill it.

O heavenly priest, wondrously blue, offspring of Vāta, mortal priest among men—bring this our sacrifice to us.

iḷā sarasvatī mahī tisro devīrmayobhuvaḥ barhiḥ sīdantvasridhaḥ
Iḻā, Sarasvatī, the earth—three goddesses were born there; may the streams of the nurturing ones flow abroad.

शि॒वस्त्व॑ष्टरि॒हा ग॑हि वि॒भुः पोष॑ उ॒त त्मना॑ । य॒ज्ञेय॑ज्ञे न॒ उद॑व
śivastvaṣṭarihā gahi vibhuḥ poṣa uta tmanā yajñeyajñe na udava
May Śiva Tvashṭṛ grasp and sustain the mighty, nourish with his being; let sacrifice flourish and not fail.

यत्र॒ वेत्थ॑ वनस्पते दे॒वानां॒ गुह्या॒ नामा॑नि । तत्र॑ ह॒व्यानि॑ गामय
yatra vettha vanaspate devānāṃ guhyā nāmāni tatra havyāni gāmaya
Where the lord of plants knew the secret names of the gods, there bring havyas (offerings).

स्वाहा॒ग्नये॒ वरु॑णाय॒ स्वाहेन्द्रा॑य म॒रुद्भ्यः॑ । स्वाहा॑ दे॒वेभ्यो॑ ह॒विः
svāhāgnaye varuṇāya svāhendrāya marudbhyaḥ svāhā devebhyo haviḥ
Svāhā to Agni, to Varuṇa, svāhendra to the Maruts; svāhā to the gods—this is the oblation to the deities.
