निग्रहो ऽघोररूपेयं कथितो ऽस्माकमुत्तमम। वज्रवाहनिकां विद्यां वक्तुमर्हसि सत्तम।।
nigraho 'ghorarūpeyaṃ kathito 'smākamuttamam| vajravāhanikāṃ vidyāṃ vaktumarhasi sattama||
The sages said: The excellent and terrible rite of Nigraha pertaining to Aghora has been recounted to us. O excellent one, it behoves you now to recount the Vajravāhanikā Vidyā.
The Vidyā of Vajreśvarī - Verse 2

वज्रवाहनिका नाम सर्वशत्रुभयङ्करी। अनया सेचयेद्वज्रं नृपाणां साधयेत्तथा।।
vajravāhanikā nāma sarvaśatrubhayaṅkarī| anayā secayedvajraṃ nṛpāṇāṃ sādhayettathā||
Sūta said: The Vajravāhanikā Vidyā is terrifying unto all enemies. One shall sprinkle the adamant with this mantra and try to achieve the objects of kings.[1] The Vajra shall be made in accordance with the śāstraic injunctions and then sprinkled. This mantra shall be engraved in gold in that piece of adamant. Then the learned devotee shall repeat each syllable a hundred thousand times with great concentration. He who has this Vajra shall perform ten thousand Homas in the Vajrakuṇḍa with ghee etc. That adamantine piece shall always be guarded well and given to the king. If the king marches against the enemies taking this Vajra along with him he shall conquer them in the battle.

वज्रं कृत्वा विधानेन तद्वज्रमभिषिच्य च। अनया विद्यया तस्मिन्विन्येसेत्काञ्चनेन च।।
vajraṃ kṛtvā vidhānena tadvajramabhiṣicya ca| anayā vidyayā tasminvinyesetkāñcanena ca||
Sūta said: The Vajravāhanikā Vidyā is terrifying unto all enemies. One shall sprinkle the adamant with this mantra and try to achieve the objects of kings.[1] The Vajra shall be made in accordance with the śāstraic injunctions and then sprinkled. tataścākṣaralakṣaṃ ca japedvidvānsamāhitaḥ| vajrīdaśāṃśaṃ juhuyādvajrakuṇḍe ghṛtādibhiḥ||
Sūta said: The Vajravāhanikā Vidyā is terrifying unto all enemies. पुरा पिता महेनैव लब्धा विद्या प्रयत्नतः। देवी शक्रोपकारार्थं साक्षाद्वज्रेश्वरी तथा।।
purā pitā mahenaiva labdhā vidyā prayatnataḥ| devī śakropakārārthaṃ sākṣādvajreśvarī tathā||
Sūta said: Formerly this Vidyā[2] of Goddess Vajreśvarī was assiduously obtained by Brahmā for rendering help to Indra.
The Vidyā of Vajreśvarī - Verse 7

पुरा त्वष्ट प्रजानाथो हतपुत्रः सुरेश्वरात। विद्ययाहरतः सोममिन्द्रवैरेण सुव्रताः।।
purā tvaṣṭa prajānātho hataputraḥ sureśvarāt| vidyayāharataḥ somamindravaireṇa suvratāḥ||
Sūta said: O sages of good holy rites, formerly Tvaṣṭṛ, Prajāpati’s son, was killed by Indra. He became inimical to Indra and performed a sacrifice wherein Soma juice was extracted. Indra of huge arms who had suppressed Viśvarūpa desired for the share in the Havis in. that sacrifice.

तस्मिन्यज्ञे यताप्राप्तं विदिनोपकृतं हविः। तदैच्छत महाबाहुर्विश्वरूपविमर्दनः।।
tasminyajñe yatāprāptaṃ vidinopakṛtaṃ haviḥ| tadaicchata mahābāhurviśvarūpavimardanaḥ||

मत्पुत्रमवधीः शक्र न दास्ये तव शोभनम। भागं भागार्हता नैव विश्वरूपो हतस्त्वया।।
matputramavadhīḥ śakra na dāsye tava śobhanam| bhāgaṃ bhāgārhatā naiva viśvarūpo hatastvayā||
Sūta said: “O Indra you have killed my son. I will not give you a share. You do not deserve that since you killed my son Viśvarūpa.”
The Vidyā of Vajreśvarī - Verse 10

इत्युक्त्वा चाश्रमं सर्वं मोहयामास मायया। ततो मायां विनिर्भिद्य विश्वरूपविमर्दनः।।
ityuktvā cāśramaṃ sarvaṃ mohayāmāsa māyayā| tato māyāṃ vinirbhidya viśvarūpavimardanaḥ||
Sūta said: After saying this, he spread his power of delusion over the entire hermitage with his Māyā. But the suppressor of Viśvarūpa pierced through the Māyā and seized the Soma juice by force and drank it along with his attendants. Then the infuriated Prajāpati look the remaining part of Soma and consigned it to the fire saying—“O enemy of Indra, flourish. Svāhā”. Then a demon named Vṛtra appeared there. He resembled a black fire. He was called Vṛtra because he abided by his vows. Indra fled from there. He abandoned Heaven instantaneously. Being terrified he fled along with his attendants. Then the delighted lord Brahmā the creator of the Universe, said to him:—

प्रसह्य सोममपिबत्सगणैश्च शचीपतिः। ततस्तच्छेषमादाय क्रोधाविष्टः प्रजापतिः।।
prasahya somamapibatsagaṇaiśca śacīpatiḥ| tatastaccheṣamādāya krodhāviṣṭaḥ prajāpatiḥ||
Sūta said: After saying this, he spread his power of delusion over the entire hermitage with his Māyā. But the suppressor of Viśvarūpa pierced through the Māyā and seized the Soma juice by force and drank it along with his attendants. Then the infuriated Prajāpati look the remaining part of Soma and consigned it to the fire saying—“O enemy of Indra, flourish. Svāhā”. Then a demon named Vṛtra appeared there. He resembled a black fire. He was called Vṛtra because he abided by his vows. Indra fled from there. He abandoned Heaven instantaneously. Being terrified he fled along with his attendants. इन्द्रस्य शत्रो वर्धस्व स्वाहेत्यग्नौ जुहाव ह। ततः कालाग्निसंकाशो वर्तनाद्वृत्रसंज्ञितः।।
indrasya śatro vardhasva svāhetyagnau juhāva ha| tataḥ kālāgnisaṃkāśo vartanādvṛtrasaṃjñitaḥ||
Sūta said: After saying this, he spread his power of delusion over the entire hermitage with his Māyā. But the suppressor of Viśvarūpa pierced through the Māyā and seized the Soma juice by force and drank it along with his attendants. Then the infuriated Prajāpati look the remaining part of Soma and consigned it to the fire saying—“O enemy of Indra, flourish. Svāhā”. Then a demon named Vṛtra appeared there. प्रादुरासीत सुरेशारिर दुद्राव च वृषान्तकः। ततः किरीटी भगवान्परित्यज्य दिवं क्षणात।।
prādurāsīt sureśārir dudrāva ca vṛṣāntakaḥ| tataḥ kirīṭī bhagavānparityajya divaṃ kṣaṇāt||
Sūta said: After saying this, he spread his power of delusion over the entire hermitage with his Māyā. But the suppressor of Viśvarūpa pierced through the Māyā and seized the Soma juice by force and drank it along with his attendants. सहस्रनेत्रः सगणो दुद्राव भयविह्वलः। तदा तमाह स विभृर्हृष्टो ब्रह्मा च विश्वसृट।।
sahasranetraḥ sagaṇo dudrāva bhayavihvalaḥ| tadā tamāha sa vibhṛrhṛṣṭo brahmā ca viśvasṛṭ||
Sūta said: After saying this, he spread his power of delusion over the entire hermitage with his Māyā. But the suppressor of Viśvarūpa pierced through the Māyā and seized the Soma juice by force and drank it along with his attendants. Sūta said: “O supressor of enemies, hurl this thunderbolt and kill him”. Then the lord of Devas of mighty arms got ready along with Devas and killed him without any strain. He became free from ailments. Hence, Vajreśvarī Vidyā is a terror unto all enemies. The demons called Mandehas are conquered every day by means of this Vidyā. I shall mention that Vidyā which releases one from all sins.

I shall mention that Vidyā which releases one from all sins.

mandehā rākṣasā nityaṃ vijitā vidyayaiva tu| tāṃ vidyāṃ saṃpravakṣyāmi sarvapāpapramocanīm||
Sūta said: “O supressor of enemies, hurl this thunderbolt and kill him”. Then the lord of Devas of mighty arms got ready along with Devas and killed him without any strain. He became free from ailments. Hence, Vajreśvarī Vidyā is a terror unto all enemies. The demons called Mandehas are conquered every day by means of this Vidyā. ओं भूर्भुवस्वः तत्सवितुर्वरेण्यं भर्गो देवस्य धीमहि। धियो यो नः प्रचोदयात। ओं फट जहि हुं फट छिन्धि भिन्धि जहि हनहन स्वाहा। विद्या वज्रेश्वरीत्येषा सर्वशत्रुभयङ्करी। अनया संहृतिः शंभोर्विद्याया मुनिपुङ्गवाः।।
