अथान्यं पर्वतं सूक्ष्ममल्पद्रव्यं महाफलम। द्रव्यमात्रोपसंयुक्ते काले मध्यं विधीयते।।
athānyaṃ parvataṃ sūkṣmamalpadravyaṃ mahāphalam| dravyamātropasaṃyukte kāle madhyaṃ vidhīyate||
Sanatkumāra said: Henceforth, a rite called Sūkṣmaparvata (subtle mountain) is being laid down. The materials are few but the benefit is great. It can be performed at any time when the materials have been gathered. It is genuinely a holy rite.

गोमयालिप्तभूमौ तु ह्यंबराणि प्रकीर्य च। तन्मध्ये निक्षिपेद्धीमांस्तिलभारत्रयं शुभम।।
gomayāliptabhūmau tu hyaṃbarāṇi prakīrya ca| tanmadhye nikṣipeddhīmāṃstilabhāratrayaṃ śubham||
Sanatkumāra said: The ground is scrubbed and cleaned with cowdung. Cloths are spread over it. The intelligent devotee shall deposit three Bhāras of excellent gingelly seeds in the middle of the cloths.

पद्ममष्टदलं कुर्यात्कर्णिकाकेसरान्वितम। दशनिष्केण तत्कार्यं तदर्धार्धेन वा पुनः।।
padmamaṣṭadalaṃ kuryātkarṇikākesarānvitam| daśaniṣkeṇa tatkāryaṃ tadardhārdhena vā punaḥ||
Sanatkumāra said: He shall make an eight-petalled lotus with pericarp and filaments. It shall be made with ten gold coins.

तिलमध्ये न्यसेत्पद्मं पद्ममध्ये महेश्वरम। आराध्य विधिवद्देवं वामादीनि प्रपूजयेत।।
tilamadhye nyasetpadmaṃ padmamadhye maheśvaram| ārādhya vidhivaddevaṃ vāmādīni prapūjayet||
Sanatkumāra said: The lotus shall be fixed in the middle of the gingelly seeds. The idol shall be placed in the middle of the lotus. After duly propitiating the lord he shall worship Vāma and others.

शक्तिरूपं सुवर्णेन त्रिनिष्केण तु कारयेत। न्यासं तु परितः कुर्याद्विघ्नेशान्परिभागतः।।
śaktirūpaṃ suvarṇena triniṣkeṇa tu kārayet| nyāsaṃ tu paritaḥ kuryādvighneśānparibhāgataḥ||
Sanatkumāra said: The form of Śakti shall be made of gold with three gold pieces. The Nyāsa rite shall be performed. Vighneśas shall be installed all round.[1] The Vighneśas shall be made with the quantity of gold mentioned before. They shall be duly worshipped with scents and fragrant flowers and other materials in accordance with the injunctions.

पूर्वोक्त हेममानेन विघ्नेशानपि कारयेत। तान अभ्यर्च्य विधानेन गन्धपूष्पादिभिः क्रमात।।
pūrvokta hemamānena vighneśānapi kārayet| tān abhyarcya vidhānena gandhapūṣpādibhiḥ kramāt||
Sanatkumāra said: The form of Śakti shall be made of gold with three gold pieces. The Nyāsa rite shall be performed.
