तस्मिंस्तत्परमं ध्यानं ध्यायतो ब्रह्मणस्तदा। उत्पन्नस्तु शिखायुक्तः कुमारः श्वेतलोहितः।।
tasmiṃstatparamaṃ dhyānaṃ dhyāyato brahmaṇastadā| utpannastu śikhāyuktaḥ kumāraḥ śvetalohitaḥ||
Sūta said: In that (kalpa) when Brahmā was pursuing intense meditation a son with tuft was born unto him. He was called Śvetalohita

तं दृष्ट्वा पुरुषं श्रीमान ब्रह्मा वै विश्वतोमुखः। हृदि कृत्वा महात्मानं ब्रह्मरूपिणमीश्वरम।।
taṃ dṛṣṭvā puruṣaṃ śrīmān brahmā vai viśvatomukhaḥ| hṛdi kṛtvā mahātmānaṃ brahmarūpiṇamīśvaram||
Sūta said: On seeing that Puruṣa, the glorious lord Brahmā with faces all round, thought of the noble-souled lord in the form of Brahman. Brahmā retained Sadyojāta in the heart and became engaged inmeditation. After realising the greatest being through meditation Brahmā, the lord of Devas, saluted him.

सद्योजातं ततो ब्रह्मा ध्यानयोगपरो ऽभवत। ध्यानयोगात्परं ज्ञात्वा ववन्दे देवमीश्वरम।।
sadyojātaṃ tato brahmā dhyānayogaparo 'bhavat| dhyānayogātparaṃ jñātvā vavande devamīśvaram||
Sūta said: On seeing that Puruṣa, the glorious lord Brahmā with faces all round, thought of the noble-souled lord in the form of Brahman. सद्योजातं ततो ब्रह्म ब्रह्म वै समचिन्तयत। ततो ऽस्य पार्श्वतः श्वेताः प्रादुर्भूता महायशाः।।
sadyojātaṃ tato brahma brahma vai samacintayat| tato 'sya pārśvataḥ śvetāḥ prādurbhūtā mahāyaśāḥ||
Sūta said: Brahmā contemplated again over Sadyojāta. Thereupon from his sides were born Śvetas (white ones) of great fame, viz. Sunanda, Nandana, Viśvananda and Upanandana; these noble-souled ones were the disciples of Brahmā by whom he was always surrounded.

सुनन्दो नन्दनश्चैव विश्वनन्दोपनन्दनौ। शिष्यास्ते वै महात्मानो यैस्तद्ब्रह्म सदावृतम।।
sunando nandanaścaiva viśvanandopanandanau| śiṣyāste vai mahātmāno yaistadbrahma sadāvṛtam||
Sūta said: Brahmā contemplated again over Sadyojāta. Thereupon from his sides were born Śvetas (white ones) of great fame, viz. Sunanda, Nandana, Viśvananda and Upanandana; these noble-souled ones were the disciples of Brahmā by whom he was always surrounded.

तस्याग्रे श्वेतवर्णाभः श्वेतो नाम महामुनिः। विजज्ञे ऽथ महातेजास तस्माज्जज्ञे हरस्त्वसौ।।
tasyāgre śvetavarṇābhaḥ śveto nāma mahāmuniḥ| vijajñe 'tha mahātejās tasmājjajñe harastvasau||
Sūta said: In front of him the sage Sveta, glittering in his white colour, was born. Then there was born Hara of great splendour.

तत्र ते मुनयः सर्वे सद्योजातं महेश्वरम। प्रपन्नाः परया भक्त्या गृणन्तो ब्रह्म शाश्वतम।।
tatra te munayaḥ sarve sadyojātaṃ maheśvaram| prapannāḥ parayā bhaktyā gṛṇanto brahma śāśvatam||
Sūta said: There all the sages resorted to the great lord Sadyojāta with perfect devotion. They praised the eternal Brahman. Hence all those persons O brahmins, who resort to lord Viśveśvara after being engrossed in breath-control and mentally devoted to Brahman, become liberated from sins. They will have the splendour of brahman and be free from impulses. They will go beyond Viṣṇu’s abode and enter Rudra’s world.
