Maitreya said: Thus, the complete manifestation of all qualities and actions arose in the sage. The king, shy, spoke to him.

Manu said: Brahma, desiring self-realization, created you from his own face, endowed with the essence of the Vedas and the knowledge of austerity.

To protect us, he created us from the thousand-fold fall of the two (aspects). The heart of that Brahman is indeed called the Kshatra (warrior).

Therefore, he who protects the self and the Brahman, protects each other. The eternal God, who is both existence and non-existence, protects.

By your vision alone, all my doubts are cut off. The Lord himself, out of love, speaks of Dharma, which he wishes to protect.

By good fortune, I have seen the Lord, who is elusive to those without self-realization. By good fortune, the dust of your feet has touched my head, bringing me auspiciousness.

By your grace, I am instructed and greatly favored. With my ears opened, I hear the words of destiny.

You, who are attached to your daughter, should listen to the words of the distressed one, O sage, with compassion.

My beloved daughter, from the lineage of Priyavrata and Uttanapada, seeks a suitable husband endowed with age, character, and virtues.

When you do not hear the qualities of character, knowledge, and form of the one who is to be, it is said that you have made a firm resolution.

Therefore, accept this offering from me, O learned Brahman, which is in accordance with your faith and is suitable for household duties.

Indeed, the opposition to a desire that is intense does not yield. What can be said of one who is free from attachment and is passionate about desire?

He who disregards the one who strives, his fame diminishes greatly, and his honor is destroyed by contempt.

I, knowing you, have come forward for marriage. Therefore, you should accept me as your husband.

The sage said: I am indeed desirous of you, O daughter of the king. The appropriate marriage custom for both of us is this.

Desire is indeed greater, O divine one, for it is established in the scriptures regarding your daughter. Who would not honor your daughter, as if she were the goddess of wealth herself?

She, who is adorned with the beautiful feet that shine like the golden lotus, plays in the palace, captivating the hearts of those who behold her. The celestial beings, enchanted by her beauty, fall down from the sky.

Who would not praise her, the one who is being worshipped by the beautiful maidens with unseen feet, and who is the essence of the beloved of the mind? Let the wise one approach her with devotion.

Therefore, I shall worship the virtuous one at the right time, as long as my own light shines. Therefore, I hold in high regard the principles of righteousness as spoken by the supreme sages, which are non-violent.

From where this wondrous universe arose, and where it remains, that is the supreme proof for me, the Lord Ananta, the master of all beings.

Maitreya said: He, the fierce bowman, spoke to the lotus-naveled one, while remaining silent. With a face adorned by a charming smile, he captured the hearts of the divine beings.

Having obtained permission, the queen, delighted, gave her daughter to him, who was rich in virtues.

The queen Shatarupa, adorned with great wealth, lovingly gave her husband the ornaments to wear.

The emperor, free from any anxiety, embraced his daughter, filled with eagerness.

Unable to bear the separation, tears flowed from the eyes of the daughter like a stream, while she called out, 'O calf!'.

Having summoned the sage and obtained permission, the king mounted his chariot along with his family and set out for his city.

In the serene abode of the sages, where the river Sarasvati flows, behold the wealth of the hermitage of the peaceful sages.

Approaching Him, the Lord of all beings, the people from Brahmavarta, filled with joy, sang praises with musical instruments.

The city named Barhishmati is endowed with all wealth, where the hairs of those performing the sacrifice tremble.

The Kusha grass was indeed the source of the divine radiance, by which the sages, having been defeated, performed the sacrifice.

The Lord Manu, having spread the Kusha grass, performed the sacrifice, attaining the place from which the world is sustained.

In the land of Bharhishmati, the Lord resided, having entered it. In that place, He established a home that destroys the threefold miseries.

With his family and progeny, he enjoyed desires without opposition. His fame, sung by celestial singers, was bound to his heart, listening to the stories of Lord Hari during the dawn.

The sage Swayambhuva Manu, well-versed in the yoga of illusion, could not bear to be deprived of the Supreme Lord's enjoyment.

The time for their internal journey had arrived. While listening, meditating, and speaking about Vishnu, they experienced the essence.

Thus, he completed his internal journey, spanning one hundred and seventy yugas, through the association of Vasudeva.

Those who are embodied, mental, divine, and human, how do they suffer from material afflictions when they take refuge in Hari?

When questioned by the sages, he spoke about the various auspicious dharmas for the different varnas and ashramas, always for the welfare of all beings.

Listen to the wonderful conduct of the prime king, which is described as worthy of being described, and the rise of his progeny.
