Maitreya said: Considering the words of Brahma, which are free from illusion, he, with a loving glance, accepted that.

Then, striking him with a mace, he killed the one who was fearless and roaming in front of his wives.

She was struck by that mace, hit by the hand of the Lord. She fell, as if in wonder, with her body shattered.

At that time, even having attained the holy place, he was not troubled, being unarmed. He honored Dharma in battle, provoking Vishvaksena.

When the cry of distress arose, he honored that Dharma, which was like a golden ornament.

The fierce wheel, being afflicted by the lowly son of Diti, was being poisoned by the chief of his attendants. The wise ones spoke there, 'May you be well, let go of this.'

He then saw him, standing before the chariot, with lotus-like eyes. Seeing him enraged, he exhaled with a roar, his own teeth grinding.

With terrible teeth and eyes, he seemed to burn. Approaching with his own mace, he struck him, saying, 'You are defeated.'

With his left foot, the Lord, the master of sacrifices, struck the demon who was disguised as a boar, playfully hitting him like a hunter.

He said, 'O warrior, take up your weapon; you wish to conquer.' Thus addressed, he struck him fiercely.

Seeing her in distress, the Lord, standing firm, seized her playfully, like Garuda seizing a serpent.

The great demon, struck down in his own strength, did not accept the mace offered by the deer, having lost his power.

He seized the trident, blazing and eager to burn, for the sacrifice, taking on a fierce form, as a Brahmin approaches.

With great power, the demon was struck down, and the sky shone with the brilliance of his teeth like a blazing fire. Just as the Lord Hari severed the demon's head with his discus, the eagle-like Garuda was freed.

The demon, with a fierce rage, returned with his sharp spear against the Lord, who possessed a vast chest of glory. With a mighty fist, he roared, and the demon was struck down.

Thus struck down, the Lord, the original boar, did not tremble even slightly. The elephant-like creature fell as if it were slain.

Then, in the great illusion of yoga, the Lord Hari created a divine energy. Seeing this, the beings were frightened and sought refuge.

The winds blew fiercely, scattering the darkness like dust. The beings fell from all directions, as if propelled by powerful forces.

The sky was filled with the cries of the fallen, accompanied by the sounds of thunder and the wailing of mothers. The rains poured down, and the earth was soaked with blood, urine, and bones.

The mountains were seen to be filled with various weapons, O sinless one. The demons, with their fierce faces, were roaming in all directions, wielding their sharp tridents.

With many fierce and powerful beings, the violent words were unleashed by the horses, chariots, and elephants. They were created by the aggressors, who were fierce in their actions.

The Lord, with the Sudarshana weapon, destroyed the illusions of the demonic beings. He granted it to His beloved, Tripat.

Then, suddenly, a tremor arose in Diti's heart. Remembering her husband's command, blood flowed from her breasts.

When the self-illusion was destroyed, he saw Keshava standing outside, while he was being embraced by anger.

He struck him with fists, like the Marutapati striking Vritra at the root of his ear.

He, struck down, was indeed the conqueror of the universe, with his eyes raised upwards, and his limbs scattered like the king of mountains, shaken by the sky.

Seeing him lying on the ground, with fierce teeth and terrible radiance, who among the Ajadas would not praise him, saying, 'Who can attain this state?'

The one whom the yogis meditate upon in solitude with their yoga-samadhi, desiring liberation from the unreal, he, the great demon, was struck down on the ground, and seeing his body, he released it.

These two, due to a curse, have attained this state. Again, they will attain a position through these births.

The gods said: Salutations, salutations to you, who are the embodiment of pure existence, situated in the essence of all sacrifices. This being, who has been struck down by destiny, is freed by our devotion to your feet.

Maitreya said: Thus, having vanquished the invincible Hiranyaksha, the Lord, in the form of a boar, went to his own world, rejoicing in the unbroken festival, accompanied by the deities and others.

As I have said, O Lord, about your incarnation, it is in accordance with the actions of Sumitra. Just as Hiranyaksha, the noble and powerful, was engaged in play, he was defeated.

Suta said: Thus, having heard the narrative of the Lord from Kausharava, the great devotee attained supreme bliss.

For those who are renowned for their virtuous deeds, listening to the glories of the Lord brings joy; what to speak of the glories of the one marked by the Srivatsa.

He who rescues the elephant king, caught by the fish, while meditating on the lotus feet, swiftly frees those who are crying out in distress.

Who would not serve Him, who is worshipped by the righteous, with a heart full of gratitude, when He is so easily accessible?

He who hears, sings, and joyfully praises the wonderful killing of Hiranyaksha, the cause of the boar incarnation, is liberated even from the sin of killing a Brahmin.

This most auspicious, pure, blessed, and glorious path leads to longevity and blessings; in battle, it enhances the valor of the senses, and ultimately, it is the refuge of Narayana.
