Where the mixture of goodness, passion, and ignorance prevails, and where time does not exert its influence; where illusion does not exist, and where both gods and demons worship the Lord.

श्यामावदाताः शतपत्रलोचनाः पिशङ्गवस्त्राः सुरुचः सुपेशसः। सर्वे चतुर्बाहव उन्मिषन्मणि- प्रवेकनिष्काभरणाः सुवर्चसः। प्रवालवैदूर्यमृणालवर्चसः परिस्फुरत्कुण्डलमौलिमालिनः
With dark complexions and pure eyes, wearing yellow garments, they are well-formed and beautiful. All have four arms, adorned with jeweled ornaments, and radiate brilliance like the precious stones of coral and sapphire, with shining earrings and crowns.

He who shines brightly, surrounded by radiant celestial vehicles, is revered by great souls. He is illuminated by the brilliance of the best of the joyful, like the sky illuminated by flashes of lightning.

Where the goddess of fortune, who is beautiful, grants respect to the feet of the Lord, and where she sings sweetly, accompanied by flowers, glorifying the beloved deeds of the Lord.

Seated on a seat worthy of worship, surrounded by sixteen powers, He is the supreme abode, enjoying Himself with the divine beings, and is not dependent on others.

Overwhelmed with joy from seeing Him, His body trembled, and filled with love, tears flowed from His eyes. He bowed down to the lotus feet of the creator of the universe, which are attained by the supreme swan.

At that time, He, being pleased and present, spoke with a slight smile, as if to console the distressed, with a voice that was dear and affectionate, while touching the beloved with His hand.

श्रीभगवानुवाच। त्वयाहं तोषितः सम्यग्वेदगर्भ सिसृक्षया। चिरं भृतेन तपसा दुस्तोषः कूटयोगिनाम्
The Supreme Lord said: I am fully satisfied with you, desiring to know the essence of the Vedas. For a long time, the ascetics who are difficult to please have been engaged in austerities.

I have instructed you there, being bewildered by your actions. My austerity is directly the heart, I am indeed the purity of austerity.

सृजामि तपसैवेदं ग्रसामि तपसा पुनः। बिभर्मि तपसा विश्वं वीर्यं मे दुश्चरं तपः
I create this universe through austerity, I consume it again through austerity. I sustain the universe through my powerful austerity.

ब्रह्मोवाच। भगवन् सर्वभूतानामध्यक्षोऽवस्थितो गुहाम्। वेद ह्यप्रतिरुद्धेन प्रज्ञानेन चिकीर्षितम्
Brahma said: O Lord, who is the overseer of all beings, residing in the cave (of the heart). The Vedas, indeed, are not opposed to the knowledge that is desired.

aham evāsam evāgre nānyad yat sad-asat param paścād ahaṁ yad etac ca yo'vaśiṣyeta so'smy aham
Brahma, it is I, the Personality of Godhead, who was existing before the creation, when there was nothing but Myself. Nor was there the material nature, the cause of this creation. That which you see now is also I, the Personality of Godhead, and after annihilation what remains will also be I.

ऋते ऽर्थं यत्प्रतीयेत न प्रतीयेत चात्मनि। तद्विद्यादात्मनो मायां यथाभासो यथा तमः॥
ṛte'rthaṁ yat pratīyeta na pratīyeta cātmani tad vidyād ātmano māyāṁ yathābhāso yathā tamaḥ
O Brahma, whatever appears to be of value, if it is without relation to Me, has no reality. Know it as My illusory energy, that reflection which appears to be in darkness.

O Brahma, please know that the universal elements enter into the cosmos and at the same time do not enter into the cosmos. Similarly, I Myself also exist within everything created, and at the same time I am outside of everything.

A person who is searching for the ultimate truth must inquire into the nature of the Absolute Truth by both direct and indirect approaches. The Absolute Truth is that which persists in all circumstances, in all times and in all places.
