The king said: O Brahman, prompted by Brahma, how did Narada describe the qualities of the qualityless?

I wish to know the essence of the wonderful prowess of Hari, which brings auspiciousness to the world.

O great soul, tell me how I can place my mind, free from attachment, in Krishna, the supreme self.

For those who listen with faith and sing with devotion, the Lord enters their hearts in due time.

Krishna, like the autumn rain, enters the hearts of those who have opened their ears to him.

A purified person does not abandon the feet of Krishna; like a traveler, he is free from all distress.

O Brahman, whatever is made of these elements, know it as the body; whether by chance or by cause.

As long as this person is separate from the lotus-like characteristics of the world, he is said to be of that nature.

The uncreated one creates beings through his grace; he who is seen in the form that arises from the lotus of the navel.

He, who is the cause of the creation and dissolution of the universe, is the Lord of illusion, resting in the heart of all.

The worlds created by the elements are said to be formed by the beings of the past.

As long as the cycle of creation and dissolution is perceived according to time, the measure of life is determined by the words of the past, present, and future.

The nature of time is such that it is perceived even by the smallest particle, and it is determined by the actions of beings, O best of the twice-born.

In which the results of actions are gathered, and how they are received, may the qualities of the qualified be desired.

From the kings, the underworld, the heavens, and the celestial bodies, the earth, rivers, oceans, and islands arise.

The distinction of the external and internal of the measure of the cosmos, and the conduct of the great, is determined by the varna and ashrama.

In the ages, Dharma and fame manifest in each age, and the wondrous deeds of the avatars of Hari.

The common dharma of men, and that which is specific, is such that it sustains the groups of royal sages in difficulties.

The enumeration of principles is a characteristic feature, a causal characteristic of the method of worshipping the Supreme Person and of spiritual practices.

The path of the yogis is the attainment of divine wealth, and the breaking of the lingam is for the yogis, as well as for the Vedas, Upavedas, dharmas, Itihasas, and Puranas.

The flood is the prowess of all beings, the transition is the method of fulfilling desires, and the regulation of the three goals of life.

The creation of those who follow the rules, and the emergence of hypocrisy, are the true states of bondage and liberation of the self.

Just as the Supreme Lord plays with His own energy, He releases it, and like a witness, He remains detached.

O Lord, all this is being asked by me in a sequential manner. You are indeed worthy to explain the truth to the surrendered great sage.

Here, indeed, You are the proof, O Supreme Being, as You are the embodiment of the self. Those who are beyond here have acted according to the deeds of their ancestors.

The non-possessors do not approach me, O Brahman, who is not nourished by food. Drink the nectar of the imperishable, and not from the angry twice-born.

Soot spoke: He was thus instructed by the king in the discourse of the virtuous one. Vishnu was greatly pleased in the assembly of Brahma.
