Just as the Lord protects the cows and again restrains them, the supreme person, relying on His powers, plays and acts in various ways.

Shri Shuka said: Salutations to the Supreme Person, who is beyond all, who performs pastimes that restrain the place of birth.

भूयो नमः सद्वृजिनच्छिदेऽसता- मसम्भवायाखिलसत्त्वमूर्तये। पुंसां पुनः पारमहंस्य आश्रमे व्यवस्थितानामनुमृग्यदाशुषे
Salutations again to the one who removes all sins, the embodiment of all beings, and who is sought by those who are situated in the supreme state of the Paramahamsa.

नमो नमस्तेऽस्त्वृषभाय सात्वतां विदूरकाष्ठाय मुहुः कुयोगिनाम्। निरस्तसाम्यातिशयेन राधसा स्वधामनि ब्रह्मणि रंस्यते नमः
Salutations to you, O bull among the Satvatas, who is the wood of Vidura, repeatedly to those who are engaged in wrong practices. You are worshipped in the abode of Brahman, free from all excess.

यत्कीर्तनं यत्स्मरणं यदीक्षणं यद्वन्दनं यच्छ्रवणं यदर्हणम्। लोकस्य सद्यो विधुनोति कल्मषं तस्मै सुभद्रश्रवसे नमो नमः
Whatever is chanted, remembered, seen, bowed to, heard, or offered, immediately removes the impurities of the world. To that auspicious sound, I bow again and again.

विचक्षणा यच्चरणोपसादनात् सङ्गं व्युदस्योभयतोऽन्तरात्मनः। विन्दन्ति हि ब्रह्मगतिं गतक्लमा- स्तस्मै सुभद्रश्रवसे नमो नमः
The wise, by serving the feet, detach themselves from all attachments and find the path to Brahman, free from all impurities. To that auspicious sound, I bow again and again.

किरातहूणान्ध्रपुलिन्दपुल्कसा आभीरकङ्का यवनाः खसादयः। येऽन्ये च पापा यदपाश्रयाश्रयाः शुध्यन्ति तस्मै प्रभविष्णवे नमः
To that Lord Vishnu, who purifies even those sinful beings like Kirata, Hunas, Andhras, Pulindas, Pulkasas, Abhiras, Kankas, Yavanas, and Khas, who take refuge in Him, I offer my respectful obeisances.

स एष आत्माऽऽत्मवतामधीश्वर- स्त्रयीमयो धर्ममयस्तपोमयः। गतव्यलीकैरजशङ्करादिभि- र्वितर्क्यलिङ्गो भगवान् प्रसीदताम्
He is the Supreme Self of the self-realized, the essence of the Vedas, the embodiment of righteousness and austerity. May the Lord, who is beyond all arguments and is the source of all, be pleased with me.

श्रियः पतिर्यज्ञपतिः प्रजापति- र्धियाम्पतिर्लोकपतिर्धरापतिः। पतिर्गतिश्चान्धकवृष्णिसात्वतां प्रसीदतां मे भगवान् सतां पतिः
May the Lord, who is the husband of prosperity, the lord of sacrifices, the creator of all beings, the lord of the worlds, and the protector of the earth, be pleased with me, the Lord of the virtuous.

यदङ्घ्र्यभिध्यानसमाधिधौतया धियानुपश्यन्ति हि तत्त्वमात्मनः। वदन्ति चैतत्कवयो यथारुचं स मे मुकुन्दो भगवान् प्रसीदताम्
Those who meditate on His feet with a pure mind, see the truth of the self. The wise speak of this according to their understanding. May my Lord Mukunda be pleased with me.

प्रचोदिता येन पुरा सरस्वती वितन्वताजस्य सतीं स्मृतिं हृदि। स्वलक्षणा प्रादुरभूत्किलास्यतः स मे ऋषीणामृषभः प्रसीदताम्
By whom Saraswati, the goddess of learning, was inspired to impart her wisdom in the heart of the devoted. May that supreme sage, the best among sages, be pleased with me.

भूतैर्महद्भिर्य इमाः पुरो विभु- र्निर्माय शेते यदमूषु पूरुषः। भुङ्क्ते गुणान् षोडश षोडशात्मकः सोऽलङ्कृषीष्ट भगवान् वचांसि मे
The great beings, having created this universe, lie down in it; the Supreme Person, who is the source of all, enjoys the sixteen qualities. O Lord, may my words be adorned by You.
Bhagavata Purana 2.4.24

नमस्तस्मै भगवते वासुदेवाय वेधसे। पपुर्ज्ञानमयं सौम्या यन्मुखाम्बुरुहासवम्
Salutations to that Lord Vasudeva, who is the source of all knowledge. The gentle ones attain the nectar of His lotus-like face.
Bhagavata Purana 2.4.25

एतदेवात्मभू राजन् नारदाय विपृच्छते। वेदगर्भोऽभ्यधात्साक्षाद्यदाह हरिरात्मनः
This is what the self-manifested Lord Narada inquires about. The essence of the Vedas has directly revealed what the Supreme Lord, who is the Self, has said.
