अ॒न॒डुद्भ्य॒स्त्वं प्र॑थ॒मं धे॒नुभ्य॒स्त्वम॑रुन्धति । अधे॑नवे॒ वय॑से॒ शर्म॑ यच्छ॒ चतु॑ष्पदे ॥१॥
anaḍudbhyas tvaṃ prathamaṃ dhenubhyaś tvam arundhati | adhenave vayase śarma yaccha catuṣpade |
From the bulls first, and from the cows, you win and secure. Grant shelter to the cow that gives no milk, to the young, and to the four‑footed.

शर्म॑ यच्छ॒त्वोष॑धिः स॒ह दे॒वीर॑रुन्ध॒ती। कर॒त् पय॑स्वन्तं गो॒ष्ठम॑य॒क्ष्मां उ॒त पूरु॑षान्॥२॥
śarma yacchatv oṣadhiḥ saha devīr arundhatī | karat payasvantaṃ goṣṭham ayakṣmām uta pūruṣān |
Let the herb grant protection, together with the divine Arundhatī. May she make the cattle‑pen full of milk, and drive away disease and harmful men.

वि॒श्वरू॑पां सु॒भगा॑म॒च्छाव॑दामि जीव॒लाम्। सा नो॑ रु॒द्रस्या॒स्तां हे॒तिं दू॒रं न॑यतु॒ गोभ्यः॑ ॥३॥
viśvarūpāṃ subhagām acchāvadāmi jīvalām | sā no rudrasyās tāṃ hetiṃ dūraṃ nayatu gobhyaḥ |
I call upon her of many forms, fortunate, gracious, life‑giving. May she, of Rudra, lead that weapon far away from the cows.
