मा नो॑ देवा॒ अहि॑र्वधी॒त् सतो॑कान्त्स॒हपु॑रुषान्। सम्य॑तं॒ न वि ष्प॑रद् व्यात्तं॒ न सं य॑म॒न्नमो॑ देवज॒नेभ्यः॑।।१।। नमो॑ऽस्त्वसि॒ताय॒ नम॒स्तिर॑श्चिराजये । स्व॒जाय॑ ब॒भ्रवे॒ नमो॒ नमो॑ देवज॒नेभ्यः॑ ॥२॥
mā no devā ahir vadhīt satokān sahampuruṣān | samyataṃ na vi ṣprad vyāttaṃ na saṃ yaman namo devajanebhyaḥ | namo ’stv asitāya namas tiraścirājaye | svajāya babhrave namo namo devajanebhyaḥ
Gods, let no serpent strike us—neither our children nor our men. Let what is loosed not scatter, what is opened not restrain. Homage to the divine beings. Homage to the dark one, homage to the striped, to the tawny of his own kind. Homage, homage to the divine beings.

सं ते॑ हन्मि द॒ता द॒तः समु॑ ते॒ हन्वा॒ हनू॑ । सं ते॑ जि॒ह्वया॑ जि॒ह्वां सम्वा॒स्नाह॑ आ॒स्यऽम्॥३॥
saṃ te hanmi datā dataḥ samu te hanvā hanū | saṃ te jihvāyā jihvāṃ saṃ vāsnāha āsyaṃ
I smite your giver as you give; I crush your jaws together. With tongue against tongue I press, and I close the mouth and lips together.
