स॒स्रुषी॒स्तद॒पसो॒ दिवा॒ नक्तं॑ च स॒स्रुषीः॑ । वरे॑ण्यक्रतुर॒हम॒पो दे॒वीरुप॑ ह्वये ॥१॥
sasruṣīs tad apaso divā naktaṃ ca sasruṣīḥ | vareṇya-kratur aham apo devīr upa hvaye |
I have flowed forth then as waters, by day and by night I have flowed forth. I, of noble resolve, invoke the divine Waters.

ओता॒ आपः॑ कर्म॒ण्याऽमु॒ञ्चन्त्वि॒तः प्रणी॑तये । स॒द्यः कृ॑ण्व॒न्त्वेत॑वे ॥२॥
otā āpaḥ karmaṇyā muñcantv itaḥ praṇītaye | sadyaḥ kṛṇvantv etave |
Let the Waters, skilled in work, be yoked; let them unloose with favor for guidance. Let them make it ready at once for speed.

दे॒वस्य॑ सवि॒तुः स॒वे कर्म॑ कृण्वन्तु॒ मानु॑षाः । शं नो॑ भवन्त्व॒प ओष॑धीः शि॒वाः ॥३॥
devasya savituḥ save karma kṛṇvantu mānuṣāḥ | śaṃ no bhavantu apa oṣadhīḥ śivāḥ |
Under the impulsion of the god Savitṛ, let humans do the work. May the Waters and the healing herbs be auspicious for us.
