अ॒ग्नेरि॑वास्य॒ दह॑त एति शु॒ष्मिण॑ उ॒तेव॑ म॒त्तो वि॒लप॒न्नपा॑यति । अ॒न्यम॒स्मदि॑च्छतु॒ कं चि॑दव्र॒तस्तपु॑र्वधाय॒ नमो॑ अस्तु त॒क्मने॑ ॥१॥
agner ivāsya dahata eti śuṣmiṇa uteva matto vilapann apāyati anyam asmad icchatu kaṃ cid avratas tapurvadhāya namo astu takmane
He burns like Agni’s fire; with fierce might he rages, then, babbling, he departs. Let that lawless one seek someone else among us; homage to the fever-demon bent on slaying the strong.

नमो॑ रु॒द्राय॒ नमो॑ अस्तु त॒क्मने॒ नमो॒ राज्ञे॒ वरु॑णाय॒ त्विषी॑मते । नमो॑ दि॒वे नमः॑ पृथि॒व्यै नम॒ ओष॑धीभ्यः ॥२॥
namo rudrāya namo astu takmane namo rājñe varuṇāya tviṣīmate namo dive namaḥ pṛthivyai nama oṣadhībhyaḥ
Homage to Rudra; homage to the fever-demon; homage to the radiant king Varuṇa. Homage to heaven, to earth, and to the herbs.

अ॒यं यो अ॑भिशोचयि॒ष्णुर्विश्वा॑ रू॒पाणि॒ हरि॑ता कृ॒णोषि॑ । तस्मै॑ तेऽरु॒णाय॑ ब॒भ्रवे॒ नमः॑ कृणोमि॒ वन्या॑य त॒क्मने॑ ॥३॥
ayaṃ yo abhiśocayiṣṇur viśvā rūpāṇi haritā kṛṇoṣi tasmai te aruṇāya babhrave namaḥ kṛṇomi vanyāya takmane
You who scorch and sear, fashioning all forms with tawny hue— to you, the ruddy, the brown one, I offer homage, to the wild fever-spirit.
