नमो॑ देवव॒धेभ्यो॒ नमो॑ राजव॒धेभ्यः॑ । अथो॒ ये विश्या॑नां व॒धास्तेभ्यो॑ मृत्यो॒ नमो॑ऽस्तु ते ॥१॥
namo devavadhebhyo namo rājavadhebhyaḥ | atho ye viśyānāṃ vadhās tebhyo mṛtyo namo ’stu te
Homage to the slayings by the gods, homage to the slayings by kings. And to the slayings among the clans—O Mṛtyu, homage be to you.

नम॑स्ते अधिवा॒काय॑ परावा॒काय॑ ते॒ नमः॑ । सु॒म॒त्यै मृ॑त्यो ते॒ नमो॑ दुर्म॒त्यै त॑ इ॒दं नमः॑ ॥२॥
namas te adhivākāya paravākāya te namaḥ | sumatyai mṛtyo te namo durmatyai ta idaṃ namaḥ
Homage to thee who art of the higher speech, and homage to thee who art of the lower speech. O Mṛtyu, homage to thy gracious thought; homage to thy harmful thought—here is our reverence to thee.

नम॑स्ते यातु॒धाने॑भ्यो॒ नम॑स्ते भेष॒जेभ्यः॑ । नम॑स्ते मृत्यो॒ मूले॑भ्यो ब्राह्म॒णेभ्य॑ इ॒दं नमः॑ ॥३॥
namas te yātudhānebhyo namas te bheṣajebhyaḥ | namas te mṛtyo mūlebhyo brāhmaṇebhya idaṃ namaḥ
Homage to thee from the Yātudhānas; homage to the healing herbs. Homage, O Mṛtyu, to the roots, and this homage to the Brāhmaṇas.
