यां ते॑ च॒क्रुरा॒मे पात्रे॒ यां च॒क्रुर्मि॒श्रधा॑न्ये । आ॒मे मां॒से कृ॒त्यां यां च॒क्रुः पुनः॒ प्रति॑ हरामि॒ ताम्॥१॥
yāṃ te cakrur āme pātre yāṃ cakrur miśradhānye. āme māṃse kṛtyāṃ yāṃ cakruḥ punaḥ prati harāmi tām.
The witchcraft they worked on you in hot porridge, and what others mixed in; the sorcery they did in meat and in curds— that I take back again.

yāṃ te cakruḥ kṛkavākā-vaje vā yāṃ kurīriṇi. avyāṃ te kṛtyāṃ yāṃ cakruḥ punaḥ prati harāmi tām.
The witchcraft they worked on you at the cry of the lapwing or at the Kūrīri bird— that unseen spell they wrought— that I take back again.

yāṃ te cakrur ekaśaphe paśūnām ubhayād ati. gardabhe kṛtyāṃ yāṃ cakruḥ punaḥ prati harāmi tām.
The witchcraft they worked on you at the one-hoofed among cattle, at both crossings, the spell they did for the ass— that I take back again.

yāṃ te cakrur amūlāyāṃ valagaṃ vā narācyām kṣetre te kṛtyāṃ yāṃ cakruḥ punaḥ prati harāmi tām
Whatever spell they wrought at the root, or set as a snare in the ploughed field—your bane they made—I now take it back and return it.

yāṃ te cakrur gārhapatye pūrvāgnāv uta duścitaḥ śālāyāṃ kṛtyāṃ yāṃ cakruḥ punaḥ prati harāmi tām
What they fashioned at the Gārhapatya, or in the first fire, even ill-laid—what bane they made in the hall—I now take that back and return it.

What they made in the assembly, or performed at the shrine; the bane they worked with dice—I now take that back and return it.

What they did in the army, or with bow and arrows; the bane they set in the war-drum—I now take that back and return it.

yāṃ te kṛtyāṃ kūpe avadadhuḥ śmaśāne vā nicakhnuḥ sadmani kṛtyāṃ yāṃ cakruḥ punaḥ prati harāmi tām
The bane they cast into a well, or buried in the cremation-ground; the spell they set in a dwelling—I now take that back and return it.

yāṃ te cakruḥ puruṣāsthe agnau saṃkasuke ca yām mrokaṃ nirdāhaṃ kravyādaṃ punaḥ prati harāmi tām
What men prepared in the human bone in Agni, and that which they packed together—burned dwelling, scorching, man-eating—I send that back again.

अप॑थे॒ना ज॑भारैणां॒ तां प॒थेतः प्र हि॑ण्मसि । अधी॑रो मर्या॒धीरे॑भ्यः॒ सं ज॑भा॒राचि॑त्त्या ॥१०॥
apathenā jabhāraiṇāṃ tāṃ pathetaḥ pra hiṇmasi adhīro maryādhirebhyaḥ saṃ jabhārācittyā
What the thief bore off on a wrong path, that we drive forth onto the right path. The resolute man from the irresolute—back from the grasp of the unknowing.

यश्च॒कार॒ न श॒शाक॒ कर्तुं॑ श॒श्रे पाद॑म॒ङ्गुरि॑म्। च॒कार॑ भ॒द्रम॒स्मभ्य॑मभ॒गो भग॑वद्भ्यः ॥११॥
yaś cakāra na śaśāka kartuṃ śaśre pādam aṅgurim cakāra bhadram asmabhyam abhago bhagavadbhyaḥ
He who made it was not able to make it; he slipped, foot and finger. He has wrought good for us; he is portionless before the bhagavans.

कृ॒त्या॒कृतं॑ वल॒गिनं॑ मू॒लिनं॑ शपथे॒य्यऽम्। इन्द्र॒स्तं ह॑न्तु मह॒ता व॒धेना॒ग्निर्वि॑ध्यत्व॒स्तया॑ ॥१२॥
kṛtyākṛtaṃ valaginaṃ mūlinaṃ śapatheyyam indras taṃ hantu mahatā vadhenāgnir vidhyatv astayā
The kr̥tyā-magic, the trap, the rooted curse-bound thing—may Indra slay that with a great weapon; may Agni pierce it with the bolt.
