पृ॒थि॒व्याम॒ग्नये॒ सम॑नम॒न्त्स आ॑र्ध्नोत्। यथा॑ पृथि॒व्याम॒ग्नये॑ स॒मन॑मन्ने॒वा मह्यं॑ सं॒नमः॒ सं न॑मन्तु ॥१॥
pṛthivyām agnaye samanamantsa ārdhnot | yathā pṛthivyām agnaye samanamann evā mahyaṃ saṃnamaḥ saṃ namantu ||
On earth they paid homage to Agni; with that he prospered. As they bowed to Agni upon the earth, so may homage come to me; may they bow to me.

pṛthivī dhenus tasyā agnir vatsaḥ | sā me agninā vatseneṣam ūrjaṃ kāmaṃ duhām | āyuḥ prathamaṃ prajāṃ poṣaṃ rayaṃ svāhā ||
Earth is the cow; Agni is her calf. With Agni the calf, may she milk for me well-being, strength, and desire—life first, offspring, growth, and wealth. Svāhā.

antarikṣe vāyave samanamantsa ārdhnot | yathāntarikṣe vāyave samanamann evā mahyaṃ saṃnamaḥ saṃ namantu ||
In the midspace they paid homage to Vāyu; with that he prospered. As they bowed to Vāyu in the midspace, so may homage come to me; may they bow to me.

divyā ādityāya samanamantsa ārdhnot | yathā divyā ādityāya samanamann evā mahyaṃ saṃnamaḥ saṃ namantu ||
In the sky they paid homage to Āditya; with that he prospered. As they bowed to Āditya in heaven, so may homage come to me; may they bow to me.

dyairdhenus tasyā ādityo vatsah sa mā ādityena vatseneṣam ūrjaṃ kāmaṃ duhām āyuḥ prathamaṃ prajāṃ poṣaṃ rayiṃ svāhā
Heaven is the Cow; Āditya is her Calf. By Āditya the Calf, may we milk out favor, vital power, desire—life first, offspring, nourishment, wealth. Svāhā.

दि॒क्षु च॒न्द्राय॒ सम॑नम॒न्त्स आ॑र्ध्नोत्। यथा॑ दि॒क्षु च॒न्द्राय॑ स॒मन॑मन्ने॒वा मह्यं॑ सं॒नमः॒ सं न॑मन्तु ॥७॥
dikṣu candrāya samanamantsa ārdhnot yathā dikṣu candrāya samanamanneva mahyaṃ saṃnamaḥ saṃ namantu
In the quarters they bowed to Candra; thus he prospered. As in the quarters they bowed to Candra, so may there be bowing to me; may they bow to me.

दिशो॑ धे॒नव॒स्तासां॑ च॒न्द्रो व॒त्सः । ता मे॑ च॒न्द्रेण॑ व॒त्सेनेष॒मूर्जं॒ कामं॑ दुहाम् । आयुः॑ प्रथ॒मं प्र॒जां पोषं॑ र॒यिं स्वाहा॑ ॥८॥
diśo dhenavas tāsāṃ candro vatsah tā me candreṇa vatseneṣam ūrjaṃ kāmaṃ duhām āyuḥ prathamaṃ prajāṃ poṣaṃ rayiṃ svāhā
The quarters are Cows, and Candra is their Calf. By Candra the Calf may they milk for me favor, vital power, desire—life first, offspring, nourishment, wealth. Svāhā.

अ॒ग्नाव॒ग्निश्च॑रति॒ प्रवि॑ष्ट॒ ऋषी॑णां पु॒त्रो अ॑भिशस्ति॒पा उ॑ । न॒म॒स्का॒रेण॒ नम॑सा ते जुहोमि॒ मा दे॒वानां॑ मिथु॒या क॑र्म भा॒गम्॥९॥
agnāv agniś carati praviṣṭa ṛṣīṇāṃ putro abhiśastipā u namaskāreṇa namasā te juhomi mā devānāṃ mithuyā karma bhāgam
In Agni moves Agni, having entered; the son of the Ṛṣis, the averter of curses. With reverential salutation I offer to you; let me not take by a divided act the portion of the Devas.

हृ॒दा पू॒तं मन॑सा जातवेदो॒ विश्वा॑नि देव व॒युना॑नि वि॒द्वान्। स॒प्तास्या॑नि॒ तव॑ जातवेद॒स्तेभ्यो॑ जुहोमि॒ स जु॑षस्व ह॒व्यम्॥१०॥
hṛdā pūtaṃ manasā jātavedo viśvāni deva vayunāni vidvān saptāsyāni tava jātavedas tebhyo juhomi sa juṣasva havyam
Purified in heart, O Jātavedas, knowing all the divine workings, by mind I offer. Your seven mouths, O Jātavedas—to them I make oblation; do you accept the offering.
