तान्त्स॒त्यौजाः॒ प्र द॑हत्व॒ग्निर्वै॑श्वान॒रोवृषा॑ । यो नो॑ दुर॒स्याद् दिप्सा॒च्चाथो॒ यो नो॑ अराति॒यात्॥१॥
tān satyaujāḥ prada hatv agnir vaiśvānaro vṛṣā yo no durasyād dipsāc cātho yo no arātiyāt
Let Agni Vaiśvānara, the mighty bull, burn down those of true strength who attack us—whoever harms us with ill intent or comes at us as an enemy.

यो नो॒ दिप्स॒ददि॑प्सतो॒ दिप्स॑तो॒ यश्च॒ दिप्स॑ति । वै॒श्वा॒न॒रस्य॒ दंष्ट्र॑योर॒ग्नेरपि॑ दधामि॒ तम्॥२॥
yo no dipsad adipsato dipsato yaś ca dipsati vaiśvānarasya daṃṣṭrayoḥ agner api dadhāmi tam
Whoever attacks us, whether attacker or abettor, and whoever schemes against us—I consign him to the fangs of Agni Vaiśvānara.

ya āgare mṛgayante pratikrośe ’māvāsy e kravyādo anyān dipsataḥ sarvān tān sahasā sahe
Those who lurk at the hearth, who stalk at the cry or on new-moon nights—corpse-eaters who attack others—I overwhelm them all at once.

sahe piśācān sahasaiṣāṃ draviṇaṃ dade sarvān durasyato hanmi saṃ ma ākūtir udyatām
I subdue the Piśācas; with force I take their wealth. I strike down all who mean us harm; let every hostile intention toward me be shattered.

ये दे॒वास्तेन॒ हास॑न्ते॒ सूर्ये॑ण मिमते ज॒वम्। न॒दीषु॒ पर्व॑तेषु॒ ये सं तैः प॒शुभि॑र्विदे ॥५॥
ye devās tena hāsante sūryeṇa mimate javam nadīṣu parvateṣu ye saṃ taiḥ paśubhir vide
Those gods who laugh with Sūrya, who measure out swiftness; those in the rivers and the mountains—together with them may I gain the cattle.

तप॑नो अस्मि पिशा॒चानां॑ व्या॒घ्रो गोम॑तामिव । श्वानः॑ सिं॒हमि॑व दृ॒ष्ट्वा ते न वि॑न्दन्ते॒ न्यञ्च॑नम्॥६॥
tapano asmi piśācānāṃ vyāghro gomatām iva śvānaḥ siṃham iva dṛṣṭvā te na vindante nyañcanam
Among Piśācas I am the scorching one; among the cow-rich, a tiger. As dogs at the sight of a lion, so they find no shelter.

न पि॑शा॒चैः सं श॑क्नोमि॒ न स्ते॒नैर्न व॑न॒र्गुभिः॑ । पि॒शा॒चास्तस्मा॑न्नश्यन्ति॒ यम॒हं ग्राम॑मावि॒शे॥७॥
na piśācaiḥ saṃ śaknomi na stenir na vanargubhiḥ piśācās tasmān naśyanti yam ahaṃ grāmam āviśe
I am not matched by Piśācas, nor by thieves, nor by the lawless. Therefore the Piśācas perish wherever I enter a village.

यं ग्राम॑मावि॒शत॑ इ॒दमु॒ग्रं सहो॒ मम॑ । पि॒शा॒चास्तस्मा॑न्नश्यन्ति॒ न पा॒पमुप॑ जानते ॥८॥
yaṃ grāmam āviśata idam ugraṃ saho mama piśācās tasmān naśyanti na pāpam upa jānate
Whichever village this fierce might of mine enters, there the Piśācas perish; no evil dares approach.

ye mā krodhayanti lapitā hastinaṃ maśakā iva tān ahaṃ manye durhitān jane alpaśayūn iva
Those who provoke me, chattering like gnats at an elephant—I reckon them ill-wishers, a people of paltry counsel.

अ॒भि तं निरृ॑तिर्धत्ता॒मश्व॑मिवाश्वाभि॒धान्या॑ । म॒ल्वो यो मह्यं॒ क्रुध्य॑ति॒ स उ॒ पाशा॒न्नमु॑च्यते ॥१०॥
abhi taṃ nirṛtir dhattām aśvam ivāśvābhidhānyā | malvo yo mahyaṃ krudhhyati sa u pāśān namucyate
May Nirṛti seize him, like a horse led by reins. Whoever is angry with me is not loosed from the noose.
