वा॒योः स॑वि॒तुर्वि॒दथा॑नि मन्महे॒ यावा॑त्म॒न्वद् वि॒शथो॒ यौ च॒ रक्ष॑थः । यौ विश्व॑स्य परि॒भू ब॑भू॒वथु॒स्तौ नो॑ मुञ्चत॒मंह॑सः ॥१॥
vāyoḥ savitur vidhathāni manmahe yāv ātm anvad viśatho yau ca rakṣathaḥ | yau viśvasya paribhū babhūvathus tau no muñcatam aṃhasaḥ
Of Vāyu and Savitṛ we ponder the ordinances—how far you advance in the clans and whom you guard. You who have become the protectors of all—may you both release us from sin.

ययोः॒ संख्या॑ता॒ वरि॑मा॒ पार्थि॑वानि॒ याभ्यां॒ रजो॑ युपि॒तम॒न्तरि॑क्षे । ययोः॑ प्रा॒यं नान्वा॑न॒शे कश्च॒न तौ नो॑ मुञ्चत॒मंह॑सः ॥२॥
yayor saṃkhyātā varimā pārthivāni yābhyāṃ rajo yupitam antarīkṣe | yayor prāyaṃ nānvānaśe kaścana tau no muñcatam aṃhasaḥ
Whose reckonings are renowned on earth, by whom the dust is bound to the sacrificial post in mid-space; whose domain none can overpass—may you both free us from sin.

तव॑ व्र॒ते नि वि॑शन्ते॒ जना॑स॒स्त्वय्युदि॑ते॒ प्रेर॑ते चित्रभानो । यु॒वं वा॑यो सवि॒ता च॒ भुव॑नानि रक्षथ॒स्तौ नो॑ मुञ्चत॒मंह॑सः ॥३॥
tava vrate ni viśante janāsas tvayyudite prerate citrabhāno | yuvaṃ vāyo savitā ca bhuvanāni rakṣathas tau no muñcatam aṃhasaḥ
Under your ordinance people enter; at your uprising, O bright one, they are set in motion. You two, Vāyu and Savitṛ, guard the worlds—may you both release us from sin.

अपे॒तो वा॑यो सवि॒ता च॑ दुष्कृ॒तमप॒ रक्षां॑सि॒ शिमि॑दां च सेधतम्। सं ह्यू॒३र्जया॑ सृ॒जथः॒ सं बले॑न॒ तौ नो॑ मुञ्चत॒मंह॑सः ॥४॥
apeto vāyo savitā ca duṣkṛtam apa rakṣāṃsi śimidāṃ ca sedhatam | saṃ hy ūrjayā sṛjathaḥ saṃ balena tau no muñcatam aṃhasaḥ
Drive away, Vāyu and Savitṛ, the evil-doing, the spells and the howlers. Together pour forth strength, together with might—may you both free us from sin.

र॒यिं मे॒ पोषं॑ सवि॒तोत वा॒युस्त॒नू दक्ष॒मा सु॑वतां सु॒शेव॑म्। अ॒य॒क्ष्मता॑तिं॒ मह॑ इ॒ह ध॑त्तं॒ तौ नो॑ मुञ्चत॒मंह॑सः ॥५॥
rayiṃ me poṣaṃ savitota vāyus tanū́ dakṣamā suvatāṃ suśevam ayakṣmatātim maha iha dhattaṃ tau no muñcatam aṃhasaḥ
May Savitṛ and Vāyu grant me wealth and growth, strength of body, skill, and gracious favor. Establish here freedom from disease and great prosperity; release us two from sin.

प्र सु॑म॒तिं स॑वितर्वाय ऊ॒तये॒ मह॑स्वन्तं मत्स॒रं मा॑दयाथः । अ॒र्वाग् वा॒मस्य॑ प्र॒वतो॒ नि य॑च्छतं॒ तौ नो॑ मुञ्चत॒मंह॑सः ॥६॥
pra sumatiṃ savitar vāya ūtaye mahasvantaṃ matsaraṃ mādayāthaḥ arvāg vāmasya pravato ni yacchataṃ tau no muñcatam aṃhasaḥ
Bestow good favor, Savitṛ and Vāyu, grant protection; gladden the mighty rival. Bring near to us your approaching aid; release us two from sin.

उप॒ श्रेष्ठा॑ न आ॒शिषो॑ दे॒वयो॒र्धाम॑न्नस्थिरन्। स्तौमि॑ दे॒वं स॑वि॒तारं॑ च वा॒युं तौ नो॑ मुञ्चत॒मंह॑सः ॥७॥
upa śreṣṭhā na āśiṣo devayor dhāmann asthiran staumi devaṃ savitāraṃ ca vāyuṃ tau no muñcatam aṃhasaḥ
The finest blessings of the gods have settled near us. I praise the god Savitṛ and Vāyu; release us two from sin.
