इन्द्र॑स्य मन्महे॒ शश्व॒दिद॑स्य मन्महे वृत्र॒घ्न स्तोमा॒ उप॑ मे॒म आगुः॑ । यो दा॒शुषः॑ सु॒कृतो॒ हव॒मेति॒ स नो॑ मुञ्च॒त्वंह॑सः ॥१॥
indrasya manmahe śaśvad id asya manmahe vṛtra-ghna stomā upa m ema āguḥ yo dāśuṣaḥ sukṛto havam eti sa no muñcatvaṁhasaḥ
We ever sing for Indra; our hymns, O slayer of Vṛtra, have come to me. He who comes to the good doer’s offering—may he release us from sin.

य उ॒ग्रीणा॑मु॒ग्रबा॑हुर्य॒युर्यो दा॑न॒वानां॒ बल॑मारु॒रोज॑ । येन॑ जि॒ताः सिन्ध॑वो॒ येन॒ गावः॒ स नो॑ मुञ्च॒त्वंह॑सः ॥२॥
ya ugrīṇām ugrabāhur yayur yo dānavānāṃ balam aruroja yena jitāḥ sindhavaḥ yena gāvaḥ sa no muñcatvaṃhasaḥ
He whose arms are mighty, the fierce one’s ally, who shattered the strength of the lavish; by whom the rivers were subdued, by whom the cows—may he release us from sin.

यश्च॑र्षणि॒प्रो वृ॑ष॒भः स्व॒र्विद् यस्मै॒ ग्रावा॑णः प्र॒वद॑न्ति नृ॒म्णम्। यस्या॑ध्व॒रः स॒प्तहो॑ता॒ मदि॑ष्ठः॒ स नो॑ मुञ्च॒त्वंह॑सः ॥३॥
yaś carṣaṇipro vṛṣabhaḥ svarvid yasmai grāvāṇaḥ pravadanti nṛmṇam yasyādhvaraḥ saptahotā madiṣṭhaḥ sa no muñcatvaṃhasaḥ
The Bull among men, knower of the sunlit realm, to whom the pressing-stones proclaim manly strength; whose rite has the seven Hotars most gladdening—may he release us from sin.

यस्य॑ व॒शास॑ ऋष॒भास॑ उ॒क्षणो॒ यस्मै॑ मी॒यन्ते॒ स्व॒र॑वः स्व॒र्विदे॑ । यस्मै॑ शु॒क्रः पव॑ते॒ ब्रह्म॑शुम्भितः॒ स नो॑ मुञ्च॒त्वंह॑सः ॥४॥
yasya vaśāsa ṛṣabhāsa ukṣaṇo yasmai mīyante svaravaḥ svarvide yasmai śukraḥ pavate brahmaśumbhitaḥ sa no muñcatvaṃhasaḥ
At whose command the bulls, the mighty, the sappy abide; to whom the sounders of heaven measure out for the knower of heaven; for whom the bright Soma flows, stirred by Brahman—may he release us from sin.

यस्य॒ जुष्टिं॑ सो॒मिनः॑ का॒मय॑न्ते॒ यं हव॑न्त॒ इषु॑मन्तं॒ गवि॑ष्टौ । यस्मि॑न्न॒र्कः शि॑श्रि॒ये यस्मि॒न्नोजः॒ स नो॑ मुञ्च॒त्वंह॑सः ॥५॥
yasya juṣṭiṃ sominaḥ kāmayante yaṃ havanta iṣumantaṃ gaviṣṭau yasminn arkaḥ śiśriye yasmin nojaḥ sa no muñcatvaṃhasaḥ
Whose favor the Soma-drinkers desire, whom they invoke, arrow-armed, in the cattle-raid; in whom the sun found rest, in whom is strength—may he release us from sin.

यः प्र॑थ॒मः क॑र्म॒कृत्या॑य ज॒ज्ञे यस्य॑ वी॒र्यंऽ प्रथ॒मस्यानु॑बुद्धम्। येनोद्य॑तो॒ वज्रो॒ऽभ्याय॒ताहिं॒ स नो॑ मुञ्च॒त्वंह॑सः ॥६॥
yaḥ prathamaḥ karmakṛtyāya jajñe yasya vīryaṃ prathamasyānubuddham yenodyato vajro abhyāyatāhiṃ sa no muñcatvaṃhasaḥ
He who first was born for the rite of deeds, whose hero-power was understood of the first; with which the lifted Vajra smote the serpent—may he release us from sin.

यः सं॑ग्रा॒मान्नय॑ति॒ सं यु॒धे व॒शी यः पु॒ष्टानि॑ संसृ॒जति॑ द्व॒यानि॑ । स्तौमीन्द्रं॑ नाथि॒तो जो॑हवीमि॒ स नो॑ मुञ्च॒त्वंह॑सः ॥७॥
yaḥ saṅgrāmān nayati saṃ yudhe vaśī yaḥ puṣṭāni saṃsṛjati dvayāni | staumīndraṃ nāthito johavīmi sa no muñcatvaṃhasaḥ
He who leads from battles and is master in combat, who brings together prosperities in both ways—I praise Indra, I call upon the protector; may he free us from sin.
