इ॒ममि॑न्द्र वर्धय क्ष॒त्रियं॑ म इ॒मं वि॒शामे॑क वृ॒षं कृ॑णु॒ त्वम्। निर॒मित्रा॑नक्ष्णुह्यस्य॒ सर्वां॒स्तान् र॑न्धयास्मा अहमुत्त॒रेषु॑ ॥१॥
imam indra vardhaya kṣatriyaṃ me imaṃ viśām eka vṛṣaṃ kṛṇu tvam. niramitrān akṣṇuhy asya sarvāṃs tān randhayāsma aham uttareṣu.
O Indra, strengthen this Kṣatriya of mine; in this clan make him the single bull. Strip away all his foes; crush them all. Make me prevail over those beyond.

एमं भ॑ज॒ ग्रामे॒ अश्वे॑षु॒ गोषु॒ निष्टं भ॑ज॒ यो अ॒मित्रो॑ अ॒स्य। वर्ष्म॑ क्ष॒त्राणा॑म॒यम॑स्तु॒ राजेन्द्र॒ शत्रुं॑ रन्धय॒ सर्व॑म॒स्मै॥२॥
emaṃ bhaja grāme aśveṣu goṣu niṣṭaṃ bhaja yo amitro asya. varṣma kṣatrāṇām ayam astu rājendra śatruṃ randhaya sarvam asmai.
Grant him a share in village, in horses and in cows; give him a portion from whoever is his foe. Let him be the stature among rulers; O Indra, crush the enemy, yield all to him.

अ॒यम॑स्तु धन॑पति॒र्धना॑नाम॒यं वि॒शां वि॒श्पति॑रस्तु॒ राजा॑ । अ॒स्मिन्नि॑न्द्र॒ महि॒ वर्चां॑सि धेह्यव॒र्चसं॑ कृणुहि॒ शत्रु॑मस्य ॥३॥
ayam astu dhanapatir dhanānām ayaṃ viśāṃ viśpatir astu rājā. asminn indra mahi varcāṃsi dhehy avarcaṃ kṛṇuhi śatrum asya.
Let him be lord of wealth among treasures, and king, the chief of clans. O Indra, place great splendors in him; make his foe devoid of glory.

अ॒स्मै द्यावा॑पृथिवी॒ भूरि॑ वा॒मं दु॑हाथां घर्म॒दुघे॑ इव धे॒नू। अ॒यं राजा॒ प्रि॒य इन्द्र॑स्य भूयात् प्रि॒यो गवा॒मोष॑धीनां पशू॒नाम्॥४॥
asmai dyāvā-pṛthivī bhūri vāmaṃ duhāthāṃ gharmadughe iva dhenū. ayaṃ rājā priya indrasya bhūyāt priyo gavām oṣadhīnāṃ paśūnām.
For him may Dyāvā-Pṛthivī milk rich bounty like cows that yield warm milk. Let this king be dear to Indra, dear to cows, to herbs, and to cattle.

यु॒नज्मि॑ त उत्त॒राव॑न्त॒मिन्द्रं॒ येन॒ जय॑न्ति॒ न प॑रा॒जय॑न्ते । यस्त्वा॒ कर॑देकवृ॒षं जना॑नामु॒त राज्ञा॑मुत्तमं मा॑न॒वाना॑म्॥५॥
yunajmi te uttarāvantam indraṃ yena jayanti na parājayante. yas tvā karad ekavṛṣaṃ janānām uta rājñām uttamaṃ mānavānām.
I yoke to you the northern-going Indra, by whom men win and are not defeated. He who makes you the sole bull among men, the foremost of kings and of mortals.

उत्त॑र॒स्त्वमध॑रे ते स॒पत्ना॒ ये के च॑ राज॒न् प्रति॑शत्रवस्ते । ए॒क॒वृ॒ष इन्द्र॑सखा जिगी॒वां छ॑त्रूय॒तामा भ॑रा॒ भोज॑नानि ॥६॥
uttaras tvam adhare te sapatnā ye ke ca rājan pratiśatravas te | ekavṛṣa indra-sakhā jigīvāṃ chatrū yatāmā bharā bhojanāni
May you be the upper one, and your rivals the lower, O king, and all your adversaries be opponents to you. O lone bull, friend of Indra, long-lived, bring down the foes; bring us the provisions for victory.

सिं॒हप्र॑तीको॒ विशो॑ अद्धि॒ सर्वा॑ व्या॒घ्रप्र॑ती॒कोऽव॑ बाधस्व॒ शत्रू॑न्। ए॒क॒वृ॒ष इन्द्र॑सखा जिगी॒वां छ॑त्रूय॒तामा खि॑दा॒ भोज॑नानि ॥७॥
siṃha-pratīko viśo addhi sarvā vyāghra-pratīko ’va bādhasva śatrūn | ekavṛṣa indra-sakhā jigīvāṃ chatrū yatāmā khidā bhojanāni
With a lion’s form, consume all the clans; with a tiger’s form, drive away the foes. O lone bull, friend of Indra, long-lived, subdue the enemies; procure for us the foods of victory.
