४ यवमध्या विराट् ककुप्, ५ त्रिष्टुप्, ६ विराड्गर्भा प्रस्तारपङ्क्तिः। एकै॑कयै॒षा सृष्ट्या॒ सं ब॑भूव॒ यत्र॒ गा असृ॑जन्त भूत॒कृतो॑ वि॒श्वरू॑पाः । यत्र॑ वि॒जाय॑ते य॒मिन्य॑प॒र्तुः सा प॒शून् क्षि॑णाति रिफ॒ती रुश॑ती ॥१॥
ekaikayaiṣā sṛṣṭyā saṃ babhūva yatra gā asṛjanta bhūtakṛto viśvarūpāḥ yatra vijāyate yaminy apartuḥ sā paśūn kṣiṇāti riphati ruśatī
By each act of creation this one came together, where the cows were fashioned, beings-making, of manifold forms; where the twin-born of the pathless is brought forth—there the tawny, the white, she diminishes the cattle.

ए॒षा प॒शून्त्सं क्षि॑णाति क्र॒व्याद् भू॒त्वा व्यद्व॑री । उ॒तैनां॑ ब्र॒ह्मणे॑ दद्या॒त् तथा॑ स्यो॒ना शि॒वा स्या॑त्॥२॥
eṣā paśūn saṃ kṣiṇāti kravyād bhūtvā vyadvārī utaināṃ brāhmaṇe dadyāt tathā syonā śivā syāt
She diminishes the cattle, becoming a flesh-eater, the gap-making one. Yet if one were to give her to the Brahman, then she would be benign, auspicious.

शि॒वा भ॑व॒ पुरु॑षेभ्यो॒ गोभ्यो॒ अश्वे॑भ्यः शि॒वा। शि॒वास्मै सर्व॑स्मै॒ क्षेत्रा॑य शि॒वा न॑ इ॒हैधि॑ ॥३॥
śivā bhava puruṣebhyo gobhyo aśvebhyaḥ śivā śivāsmai sarvasmai kṣetrāya śivā na iha edhi
Be gracious to men; to cows and to horses be gracious. To this whole field be gracious; come here gracious to us.

इ॒ह पुष्टि॑रि॒ह रस॑ इ॒ह स॒हस्र॑सातमा भव । प॒शून् य॑मिनि पोषय ॥४॥
iha puṣṭir iha rasa iha sahasra-sātamā bhava. paśūn yaminī poṣaya.
Here be nourishment, here be sap, here be you the bestower of thousands. O Yaminī, nourish the cattle.

यत्रा॑ सु॒हार्दः॑ सु॒कृतो॒ मद॑न्ति वि॒हाय॒ रोगं॑ त॒न्व॑१ स्वायाः॑ । तं लो॒कं य॒मिन्य॑भि॒संब॑भूव॒ सा नो॒ मा हिं॑सी॒त् पुरु॑षान् प॒शूंश्च॑ ॥५॥
yatrā suhārdaḥ sukṛto madanti vihāya rogaṃ tanvā svāyāḥ. taṃ lokaṃ yaminy abhisambabhūva sā no mā hiṃsīt puruṣān paśūṃś ca.
Where the kindly and the righteous rejoice, casting off disease from their own body—into that world Yaminī has entered; let her not harm our men and cattle.

यत्रा॑ सु॒हार्दां॑ सु॒कृता॑मग्निहोत्र॒हुतां॒ यत्र॑ लो॒कः । तं लो॒कं य॒मिन्य॑भि॒संब॑भूव॒ सा नो॒ मा हिं॑सी॒त् पुरु॑षान् प॒शूंश्च॑ ॥६॥
yatrā suhārdāṃ sukṛtām agnihotra-hutāṃ yatra lokaḥ. taṃ lokaṃ yaminy abhisambabhūva sā no mā hiṃsīt puruṣān paśūṃś ca.
Where the friendly and the virtuous, with Agnihotra oblations, have their world—into that world Yaminī has entered; let her not harm our men and cattle.
