शं नो॑ दे॒वीर॒भिष्ट॑य॒ आपो॑ भवन्तु पी॒तये॑ । शं योर॒भि स्र॑वन्तु नः ॥१॥
śaṃ no devīr abhiṣṭaya āpo bhavantu pītaye | śaṃ yor abhi sravantu naḥ
May the divine Waters be auspicious for drinking; may they flow kindly upon us both.

apsu me somo abravīd antar viśvāni bheṣajā | agniṃ ca viśvaśaṃbhuvam
In the waters Soma said to me: within them are all remedies—and Agni, the all-healing power.

āpaḥ pṛṇīta bheṣajaṃ varūthaṃ tanve mama | jyok ca sūryaṃ dṛśe
O Waters, fill me with the remedy, the shelter for my body, that I may behold the Sun plainly.

शं न॒ आपो॑ धन्व॒न्या॒३ शमु॑ सन्त्वनू॒प्याः । शं नः॑ खनि॒त्रिमा॒ आपः॒ शमु॒ याः कु॒म्भ आभृ॑ताः शि॒वा नः॑ सन्तु॒ वार्षि॑कीः॥४॥
śaṁ na āpo dhanvanyāḥ śaṁu santv anūpyāḥ. śaṁ naḥ khanitrimā āpaḥ śamu yāḥ kumbha ābhṛtāḥ śivā naḥ santu vārṣikīḥ.
May the waters of the wilderness be auspicious for us; may the waters of the lowlands bring us peace. May the waters we draw with the digging tool, and those carried in pots, be favorable to us; may the rains be benevolent to us.
