यद॒ग्निरापो॒ अद॑हत् प्र॒विश्य॒ यत्राकृ॑ण्वन् धर्म॒धृतो॒ नमां॑सि । तत्र॑ त आहुः पर॒मं ज॒नित्रं॒ स नः॑ संवि॒द्वान् परि॑ वृङ्ग्धि तक्मन्॥१॥
yad agnir āpo adahat praviśya yatrākṛṇvan dharmadhṛto namāṃsi. tatra ta āhuḥ paramaṃ janitraṃ sa naḥ saṃvidvān pari vṛṅgdhi takman.
Where Agni, having entered the waters, burned, where the Dharma-bearers made their offerings—there they proclaimed the supreme source. Being wise, ward off the fever from us.

यद्य॒र्चि॑र्यदि॒ वासि॑ शो॒चिः श॑कल्ये॒षि यदि॑ वा ते ज॒नित्र॑म्। ह्रूडु॒र्नामा॑सि हरितस्य देव॒ स नः॑ संवि॒द्वान् परि॑ वृङ्ग्धि तक्मन्॥२॥
yady arcir yadi vāsi śociḥ śakalyeṣi yadi vā te janitram. hrūḍur nāmāsi haritasya deva sa naḥ saṃvidvān pari vṛṅgdhi takman.
Whether you are flame or burning glow, whether you strike in fragments, or whatever be your source—Hṛūḍu is your name, O tawny god. Being wise, ward off the fever from us.

यदि॑ शो॒को यदि॑ वाभिशो॒को यदि॑ वा॒ राज्ञो॒ वरु॑ण॒स्यासि॑ पु॒त्रः । ह्रू॒डु॒र्नामा॑सि हरितस्य देव॒ स नः॑ संवि॒द्वान् परि॑ वृङ्ग्धि तक्मन्॥३॥
yadi śoko yadi vābhiśoko yadi vā rājño varuṇasyāsi putraḥ | hrūḍur nāmāsi haritasya deva sa naḥ saṃvidvān pari vṛṅghdhi takman ||
If you are Sorrow, or indeed deep Sorrow, or if you are the royal son of Varuṇa—O god named Hrūḍu of the green one—being wise, ward Takman away from us.

नमः॑ शी॒ताय॑ त॒क्मने॒ नमो॑ रू॒राय॑ शो॒चिषे॑ कृणोमि । यो अ॑न्ये॒द्युरु॑भय॒द्युर॒भ्येति॒ तृती॑यकाय॒ नमो॑ अस्तु त॒क्मने॑ ॥४॥
namaḥ śītāya takmane namo rūrāya śociṣe kṛṇomi | yo anyedyur ubhayadyur abhy eti tṛtīyakāya namo astu takmane ||
Homage to the chill Takman; homage I offer to the roaring, blazing one. To the one who comes every other day or both days—homage to the third-day Takman.
