सामान्यपूजां विष्ण्वादेर्वक्ष्ये मन्त्रांश च सर्वदान । समस्तपरिवाराय अच्युताय नमो यजेत ।।
sāmānyapūjāṃ viṣṇvādervakṣye mantrāṃś ca sarvadān | samastaparivārāya acyutāya namo yajet ||
I will describe common worship of Viṣṇu and others, and all the mantras and gifts. One should worship (yajet) Acyuta for the entire family with reverence.

धात्रे विधात्रे गङ्गायै यमुनायै निधी तथा । द्वारश्रियं वस्तुनवं शक्तिं कूर्ममनन्तकम ।।
dhātre vidhātre gaṅgāyai yamunāyai nidhī tathā | dvāraśriyaṃ vastunavaṃ śaktiṃ kūrmamanantakam ||
To the Sustainer, the Ordainer, to Gaṅgā and Yamunā, to treasure and to wealth at the doorway—one should worship the ninefold object of prosperity, the power of the turtle (kūrma) and the infinite (anantaka).

पृथिवीं धर्मकं ज्ञानं वैराग्यैश्वर्यमेव च । अधर्मादीन कन्दनालपद्मकेशरकर्णिकाः ।।
pṛthivīṃ dharmakaṃ jñānaṃ vairāgyaiśvaryameva ca | adharmādīn kandanālapadmakeśarakarṇikāḥ ||
Earth, dharma, knowledge, renunciation and wealth; and the destroyers of unrighteousness—lotus, musk, kesara, and conch-like (karṇikā) items—one should worship these.

ऋग्वेदाद्यं कृताद्यञ्च सत्वाद्यर्कादिमण्डलम । विमलोत्कर्षिणी ज्ञाना क्रिया योगा च ता यजेत ।।
ṛgvedādyaṃ kṛtādyañca satvādyarkādimaṇḍalam | vimalotkarṣiṇī jñānā kriyā yogā ca tā yajet ||
From the Ṛgveda and the Kṛta (Yajur?) and the circle of Sātvā, Arka etc.—one should worship the pure, uplifting knowledge (jñāna), practice (kriyā) and yoga.

प्रह्वीं सत्यां तथेशानानुग्रहासनमूर्तिकाम । दुर्गां गिरङ्गणं क्षेत्रं वासुदेवादिकं यजेत ।।
prahvīṃ satyāṃ tatheśānānugrahāsanamūrtikām | durgāṃ giraṅgaṇaṃ kṣetraṃ vāsudevādikaṃ yajet ||
One should worship the earth, truth, the gracious seats of the lords, Durga, the mountain ranges, the sacred fields, and deities like Vāsudeva.

हृदयञ्च शिरः शूलं वर्मनेत्रमथास्त्रकम । शङ्खं चक्रं गदां पद्मं श्रीवत्सं कौस्तुभं यजेत ।।
hṛdayañca śiraḥ śūlaṃ varmanetramathāstrakam | śaṅkhaṃ cakraṃ gadāṃ padmaṃ śrīvatsaṃ kaustubhaṃ yajet ||
One should worship the heart and head with the trident; the armor, the eye, and likewise the weapons. One should worship the conch, the discus, the mace, the lotus, the Śrīvatsa mark, and the Kaustubha gem.

वनमालां श्रियं पुष्टिं गरुडं गुरुमर्चयेत । इन्द्रमग्निं यमं रक्षो जलं वायुं धनेश्वरम ।।
vanamālāṃ śriyaṃ puṣṭiṃ garuḍaṃ gurumarcayet | indramagniṃ yamaṃ rakṣo jalaṃ vāyuṃ dhaneśvaram ||
One should venerate the forest-garland (Vanamaala), prosperity, nourishment, Garuda and the guru. Also Indra, Agni, Yama, Rakshas, water, wind and the lord of wealth.

ईशानन्तमजं चास्त्रं वाहनं कुमुदादिकम । विष्वक्सेनं मण्डलादौ सिद्धिः पूजादिना भवेत ।।
īśānantamajaṃ cāstraṃ vāhanaṃ kumudādikam | viṣvaksenaṃ maṇḍalādau siddhiḥ pūjādinā bhavet ||
One should worship Īśāna, Ananta, Aja and their weapons, their vehicles like the lotus, and Viśvaksena. In the mandala and at the outset of worship, this grants success.

शिवपूजाथ सामान्या पूर्वं नन्दिनमर्चयेत । महाकालं यजेद्गङ्गां यमुनाञ्च गणादिकम ।।
śivapūjātha sāmānyā pūrvaṃ nandinamarcayet | mahākālaṃ yajedgaṅgāṃ yamunāñca gaṇādikam ||
As in Shiva worship generally, first venerate Nandin. One should worship Mahākāla, the Ganga, the Yamunā and the gaṇas, etc.

गिरं श्रियं गुरुं वास्तुं शक्यादीन धर्मकादिकम । वामा ज्येष्ठा तथा रौद्री काली कलविकारिणी ।।
giraṃ śriyaṃ guruṃ vāstuṃ śakyādīn dharmakādikam | vāmā jyeṣṭhā tathā raudrī kālī kalavikāriṇī ||
One should worship the mountain, prosperity, the guru, vastu, and related deities like Śakya and others of dharma. Vāmā, Jyeṣṭhā, the fierce (Raudrī), Kālī and the transformer of arts (Kalavikāriṇī) too.

बलविकरिणी चापि बलप्रमथिनी क्रमात । सर्वभूतदमनी च मदनोन्मादिनी शिवासनं ।।
balavikariṇī cāpi balapramathinī kramāt | sarvabhūtadamanī ca madanonmādinī śivāsanaṃ ||
She who produces strength, who disperses foes by strength in sequence; who subdues all beings, who inflames with amorous madness—worship the auspicious Seat of Śiva.

हां हुं हां शिवमूर्तये साङ्गवक्त्रं शिवं यजेत । हौं शिवाय हामित्यादि हामीशानादिवक्त्रकं ।।
hāṃ huṃ hāṃ śivamūrtaye sāṅgavaktraṃ śivaṃ yajet | hauṃ śivāya hāmityādi hāmīśānādivaktrakaṃ ||
Chant Hāṃ, Huṃ, Hāṃ for the form of Śiva; with a conjoined face worship Śiva. Haum for Śiva—syllables like Hāṃ, Hāmī, Śānā—intone the leader-faced (primordial) syllable.

चण्डीहृतादिकाः । क्रमात्सूर्यार्चने मन्त्रा दण्डी पूज्यश च पिङ्गलः ।।
caṇḍīhṛtādikāḥ | kramātsūryārcane mantrā daṇḍī pūjyaś ca piṅgalaḥ ||
Those beginning with Candidīhṛta and others; sequentially mantras for sun-worship, the staff-bearer, venerable and Pingala are to be worshipped.

उच्चैःश्रवाश्चारुणश च प्रभूतं विमलं यजेत । साराध्योपरमसुखं स्कन्दाद्यं मध्यतो यजेत ।।
uccaiḥśravāścāruṇaś ca prabhūtaṃ vimalaṃ yajet | sārādhyoparamasukhaṃ skandādyaṃ madhyato yajet ||
With lofty fame and reddish brilliance and abundant purity worship; superior to the adored are joys—worship Skanda and others from the middle (center).

दीप्ता सूक्ष्मा जया भद्रा विभूतिर्विमला तथा । अमोघा विद्युता चैव पूज्याथ सर्वतोमुखी ।।
dīptā sūkṣmā jayā bhadrā vibhūtirvimalā tathā | amoghā vidyutā caiva pūjyātha sarvatomukhī ||
Bright, subtle, victorious, auspicious; glory pure likewise; unfailing, like lightning—also luminous and to be revered, with faces all around.

अर्कासनं हि हं खं ख सोल्कायेति च मूर्तिकाम । ह्रां ह्रीं स सूर्याय नम आं नमो हृदाय च ।।
arkāsanaṃ hi haṃ khaṃ kha solkāyeti ca mūrtikām | hrāṃ hrīṃ sa sūryāya nama āṃ namo hṛdāya ca ||
The posture of the sun is the syllables haṃ khaṃ kha — to illuminate forms. Hrāṃ hrīṃ sa: salutations to the Sun; āṃ obeisance to the heart as well.

अर्काय शिरसे तद्वदग्नीशासुरवायुगान । भूर्भुवः स्वरे ज्वालिनि शिखा हुं कवचं स्मृतं ।।
arkāya śirase tadvadagnīśāsuravāyugān | bhūrbhuvaḥ svare jvālini śikhā huṃ kavacaṃ smṛtaṃ ||
To the sun on the head — like fire, lord of demons and winds. In the registers of earth and sky a flame, a crest; Huṃ is remembered as the protective mantra.

भां नेत्रं वस तथार्कास्त्रं राज्ञी शक्तिश च निष्कुभा । सोमो ऽङ्गारकोथ बुधो जीवः शुक्रः शनिः क्रमात ।।
bhāṃ netraṃ vas tathārkāstraṃ rājñī śaktiś ca niṣkubhā | somo 'ṅgārakotha budho jīvaḥ śukraḥ śaniḥ kramāt ||
Bright eye is the sun; the weapon is Vas (Vasus) — the queen, power, and steadiness. Then in order: the Moon, Mars, Mercury, the life-soul, Venus, Saturn.

राहुः केतुस्तेजश चण्डः सङ्क्षेपादथ पूजनं । आसनं मूर्तये मूलं हृदाद्यं परिचारकः ।।
rāhuḥ ketustejaś caṇḍaḥ saṅkṣepādatha pūjanaṃ | āsanaṃ mūrtaye mūlaṃ hṛdādyaṃ paricārakaḥ ||
Rahu and Ketu, Teja (brilliance) and Chanda (fierceness) — briefly these are to be worshipped. The seat is the root for the image; the heart and preceding are the attendants.

हरिः । ह्रीं सर्वमूर्तिमन्त्रोयमिति त्रैलोक्यमोहनः ।।
hariḥ | hrīṃ sarvamūrtimantroyamiti trailokyamohanaḥ ||
Hari. Hrīṃ — this is the mantra of all forms; it enchants the three worlds.

हृदादिकं । समस्तैः पञ्चमी पूजा सङ्ग्रामादौ जयादिदा ।।
hṛdādikaṃ | samastaiḥ pañcamī pūjā saṅgrāmādau jayādidā ||
Beginning with the heart: the Fifth (day) is worship by all; in battle and at the time of victory she gives success.

चक्रं गदां क्रमाच्छङ्खं मुषलं खड्गशार्ङ्गकम । पाशाङ्कुशौ च श्रीवत्सं कौस्तुभं वनमालया ।।
cakraṃ gadāṃ kramācchaṅkhaṃ muṣalaṃ khaḍgaśārṅgakam | pāśāṅkuśau ca śrīvatsaṃ kaustubhaṃ vanamālayā ||
(She bears) the discus, mace in order, conch, pestle, sword, bow and arrows; the noose and goad, the Śrīvatsa mark, Kaustubha jewel and a garland of forest flowers.

श्रीं श्रीर्महालक्ष्मीतार्क्ष्यो गुरुरिन्द्रादयो ऽर्चनम । सरस्वत्यासनं मूर्तिरौं ह्रीं दधी सरस्वती ।।
śrīṃ śrīrmahālakṣmītārkṣyo gururindrādayo 'rcanam | sarasvatyāsanaṃ mūrtirauṃ hrīṃ dadhī sarasvatī ||
Śrī, Śrī Mahālakṣmī, Tārkṣya, guru and Indra and others are objects of worship. Sarasvatī is the form seated on her throne; recite the seed syllables aum hriṃ and give Sarasvatī.

हृदाद्या लक्ष्मीर्मेधा च कलातुष्टिश च पुष्टिका । गौरी प्रभामती दुर्गा गणो गुरुश च क्षेत्रपः ।।
hṛdādyā lakṣmīrmedhā ca kalātuṣṭiś ca puṣṭikā | gaurī prabhāmatī durgā gaṇo guruś ca kṣetrapaḥ ||
From the heart: Lakṣmī, Medhā, Kalātuṣṭi and Puṣṭikā; Gaurī, Prabhāmatī, Durgā, the Gaṇas, Guru and the guardian of the field.

तथा गं गणपतये च ह्रीं गौर्यै च श्रीं श्रियै । ह्रीं त्वरितायै ह्रीं सौ त्रिपुरा चतुर्थ्यन्तनमोन्तकाः ।।
tathā gaṃ gaṇapataye ca hrīṃ gauryai ca śrīṃ śriyai | hrīṃ tvaritāyai hrīṃ sau tripurā caturthyantanamontakāḥ ||
Also the seed syllable gaṃ for Gaṇapati; hriṃ for Gaurī, śrīṃ for Shri; hriṃ for Tvaritā, hriṃ for Sau; Tripurā, Caturthyā, Anta, Namoṃtaka (are invoked).

प्रणवाद्याश च नामाद्यमक्षरं विन्दुसंयुतं । ओं युतं वा सर्वमन्त्रपूजनाज्जपतः स्मृताः ।।
praṇavādyāś ca nāmādyamakṣaraṃ vindusaṃyutaṃ | oṃ yutaṃ vā sarvamantrapūjanājjapataḥ smṛtāḥ ||
Begin with the syllable Praṇava and names; first the imperishable syllable joined with a dot. Either Om or that is recited in all mantra‑worship and japa.

होमात्तिलघृताद्यैश च धर्मकामार्थमोक्षदाः । पूजामन्त्रान पठेद्यस्तु भुक्तभोगो दिवं व्रजेत ।।
homāttilaghṛtādyaiś ca dharmakāmārthamokṣadāḥ | pūjāmantrān paṭhedyastu bhuktabhogo divaṃ vrajet ||
From homa (fire offerings) sesame, ghee etc. grant righteousness, desire, wealth, liberation. One who recites the worship‑mantras after such homa enjoys their fruits and attains heaven.
